This alloy worked well for me, but I'm just learning so I'm not really qualified to venture an opinion.

Its ok. No tube, ships flopping around in a cardboard box and will need a good cleaning before use.
The price was ok. However it comes in a cardboard box only, not in a plastic tube or anything. There wasduct-tape wrapped around both ends, and yes there's some adhesive residue on the outer pieces. Its slightly oxydized and has black spots all over it. Seems to work ok after a thorough cleaning with scotchbrite and whipe down with acetone. Doubt I'd buy it again when for a few bucks more I can buy it locally and I know it comes in a plastic tube so it stays clean until needed.
