This requires the neo smart pen for it to work as advertised with all of its features. The actual notebook itself has a decent structure and easy to use but without the pen it lacks a lot of the functionality stated in the unique selling proposition.

Works like a charm! I enter my appointments in the notebook and they automatically get transferred to my calendar on my iPhone. Brilliant!

This review does not include the features of the Neo Smart Pan interacting with this notebook which possibly is it’s biggest selling point. I still love paper and pen on a Sunday afternoon to plan for the following week. I’m always open to different formats of how the week is laid out in front of me. The NeoSmart Pen companion Planner Pro is an A5 size coming in at 6” by 8 ½” with a monthly view at the beginning of the book with all the months together and then it goes to a weekly view with a week spread out over 2 pages. Saturday and Sunday are given smaller space than Mon-Fri but you will have to decide if that works for you. I prefer all 7 days being the same as my Saturdays and Sundays are just as busy. Monday through Friday has a 24 hour-based calendar lines from 08-21 then a small memo section at the bottom. This gives you a clean look if your appointments are short text entries but if you’re a fan of AM and PM designations take note. There are blank grid sheets in the back for notes or drawings and a neat little stick-on pocket you can put anywhere in the book to hold receipts or small clips of paper.The vinyl hard cover is well constructed and the binding is tight, a little too tight for my tastes as the planner does not lay flat on its own without a weight. This also hinders comfortable access to the spine parts of the pages. Wednesday and Thursday are just cumbersome to write on.The planner comes with 2 ribbon page markers so you can mark your weekly spot and your current month. I’m giving it 3 stars because of the paper ink performance with bleed through and the non-lay flat. If you’re a regular ballpoint user or pencil person the ink thing probably doesn’t matter to you.To reinforce my opening, the benefits of this notebook may really shine with the electronic integration with the Neo branded smart pen.

This planner is laid out with a heavy emphasis on business hours level detail and integrates with the app when set up. The paper thickness has a nice quality and I think this planner is effective even without the app setup if you need a lot of daily information for classes or appointments. I think it might be less effective for users who don't need or can't necessarily plan at that level of specificity.

You need this if you wanna get organized!! It’s super easy use and good size. The calendar is nice spread out and I love the time schedules.

No complaints. It's not as good as a Hobonichi Techo, but you can't get a Neo compatible Hobonichi, so this will have to do.
