It does the job, but could be a whole lot better than it is.
At this price point, you expect something a simple as a crimp tool to work, and work well. Let me be clear, they do work, but you have to be extremely precise about how had you press down during crimping. Not enough, and the RJ45 pins won't penetrate the core's insulation to provide a decent connection. Press too hard though, and it will over crimp - pushing the terminals too far and the RJ45 plug terminals won't make contact with their counterpart socket terminals.A simple adjustable stop to allow the user to set the amount of travel to achieve the perfect crimp would've remedied this problem.The last issue is the blade, it's a little too blunt and short along it's length to provide clean cuts every time. A minor annoyance as partially severed cables are easily removed by hand, but again, not what I expect having paid this much for a professional crimp tool.

You know you have the wires in the correct order
Simple to use always get the wires in the correct order and when crimping with confidence you make a good joint.

Doesn’t crimp STP RJ45’s as advertised
This is advertised as being able to crimp STP RJ45’s. it can’t. Not only does it crush the connector, it doesn’t tap the cables cleanly. I suspect this is due to the connector being crushed/deformed slightly, perhaps causing the cables to move? It crimps the RJ45’s it comes with fine. I did find it difficult to feed the cables into the supplied RJ45’s but got a clean termination 1st time. See pictures.

Efficient and riable
Does a great job instantly. One tip. Cut twisted pairs long and pass one by one through the RJ45 connector. Then pull through and snug up before crimp/cut. Very quick this way.

Very good tool
Never used one of these tools before but needed to run IT cables as the WIFI is rubbish in my house. It seems to be made robust and easy to use even for a novice

No more potty mouth
I’m an occasional crimper and an impatient klutz prone to using expletives to encourage 8 stupid wires to fit into invisible slots. This crimper and the Platinum Connectors have restored domestic bliss, saved my fingers and delivered millions of perfect new cables I’ll never use simply because I had so much fun making them. Brilliant.
