Great costume addition
Exactly what my son was looking for! He had been looking for a similar gun for his Halloween costume and he was so excited when this came in the mail. The foam bullets work well.

Kids love them!
Works as should. Doesn't shoot that hard or far but the kids love them. Have had them a few months with kids playing with them everyday and they still work great.

The tiny bullets didn't fit in the casing very well
Overall my son loved this gun. However, when you tried to load the tiny bullets into the casing they would just fall out. That's why I'm giving it a three star

Interesting design, definitely good for practice
This says kids, but more along the lines for adult learning, or kids learning their first weapon before putting the real thing in their hands. This is true to size, but very light weight, definitely plastic. There will be a shock facture when the real thing is in your hand compared to this. However, the functions here are the same: button to drop the clip, reload factor, the slide, trigger, bullet shells to reload your clip. Even the holster has a belt clip, get used to drawing a weapon.Reviews showed hit or miss on putting the rubber balls into the shells, mine generally had no issues, but they do "slide" easily, but so far has functioned fine loading and shooting. No real issues locking up, jamming, but this can be problematic with the plastic design of the shells. As you put the balls into the shells, look for the excess plastic to strip away from the manufacturing mold, this should help removing. Mine came off pretty easy, but a small pocket knife or exacto knife should trim this off easily.Life sized, but not life weighted, but still good for the money, and good practice handling a weapon before actually having to use one. Never a bad practice weapon for the occasional weapon user, but definitely a need for new users, practice, or especially aiming and shooting. These don't shoot very far, but at least give an idea of how well you aim before you need to aim.

Disappointed
I looked at others that are semi-autimatic and I thought this was; it's not. I wish I would have been more thorough in researching this toy. Well, my son is happy with it- I'm not.

Kids love them!
I bought 2 of these for my Nephews, 9 & 11. They love them! they look pretty real and the bullets they eject are enough to knock down an empty can, but are so strong to hurt anyone. Good safe toy!

REALLY cool toy gun with a few issues
My kids, and even myself LOVE this thing! It makes "dart gun" wars much more fun! The fact that it ejects the shells is a cool and fun feature. It comes with a LOT of shells, "bullets" (darts), and magazines. This is pretty nice because those little darts can get lost pretty easy. After firing it you pull the slide back and the shell ejects and letting it go loads the next one! The gun doesnt shoot very strongly with the majority of the included darts because they are punched out a little bit small for the shells. The one set (blue ones) is a little larger in diameter and DO shoot better. This tells me if they increased the size of the "bullets" just a little bit so they were snugger in the shells then it would shoot so much better! They could probably even match Nerf guns with speed if they were a little snugger in the shell... A LOT of these "bullets" are really a bit TOO loose in the shells and one FULL set (10 bullets) were TOO small and would not stay in the shells at all. The issue with this is they slide out when the shell is getting loaded into the gun after ejecting the previous one and they bind up in the gun and it doesnt load the round OR allow the slide to go forward all the way. This happens once in a while with all the looser ones too and it really puts the brakes on the fun!Another issue i had was reliable shell ejecting. I had a ton of issues with some of the shells ejecting properly and they would get stuck in the gun or not eject at all and were stuck in the ejector finger. I DID discover a decently reliable fix for this though. If you remove the bottom of the magazine you can remove the spring then stretch it out a bit and put it back in. This makes the magazine push up harder on the rounds which helps stuff the round into the gun when cocking it which helps kick out the previous "spent" shell. This really could be an absolute BLAST of a toy with just a few tweaks by the manufacturer. I may have to try 3d printing some "bullets" myself to see how those work!
