Hose came quickly, in good shape, but think the price was too high. Hose is working great, and cannot complain about the quality. Seems a real waste to throw away the old hose because the end is bad. Wish I could have just purchased the end and replaced it somehow.

While it sucks that I cannot by generic hoses for this pool vacuum, I have no complaints about the quality. I have used the original set that came with the vac for 5 years with no issues. I finally had to start replacing some sections as the connections were stretched and no longer maintained a tight seal. The vac is used year round (warm part of the country) in an in-ground pool with significant depth changes so the hoses get plenty of use. The price seems worth it given the quality I have experienced.. If you have to buy these then buy them here. Pool stores (brick & mortar and online) charge way more. Packaging was great with no possibility of damage to the product. Gotta love the huge tubes they get shipped in. Saw the negative reviews... too bad others have not had a similar experience with this product

Summary: original MX6 Jose’s lasted 2.5 years before a couple of them broke down (with a little abuse, kids hanging on hose if left in, one girl trying to jump rope with the robot, but they handled normal wear well), but finally burnt through the spares and ordered these... 1 week after installing, with no stresses on them, the 2 I installed both unraveled or split. Not sure if I got an old set or if these are just terrible quality, but very unhappy. I have an MX6 with a well-maintained chlorine pool that I keep between 0.5 and 1ppm in Southern California that was new in 2016. We got the MX6 with the pool, and had 4 extra hose pieces. These hoses have lasted almost 3 years, with 4 of them breaking over time, almost always because they were abused at the time of breaking. The 4th finally broke 2 weeks ago, and I ordered 4 of these to replace the 2 I needed and 2 extra. I was not happen at the price of $15 for each small piece, I got so many with the original MX6 that it would literally be the same price to get a new one WITH _good_ hoses than to buy that many sections at $15 a piece. The big problem is, after just 1 week in the pool, I noticed the cleaner wasn’t moving, and it turns out that both new hoses had already split, and one of them was unraveling. No one has even been in the pool that week, so the only stresses were the normal sun and low chlorine plus very minor movement, all the normal expected stress these would be expected to take. Terrible quality, at least in the first 2 I used. I don’t expect the second 2 I just put in to replace them to fair any better, we’ll see.

I think it was a little pricey, but needed to add that extra footage to my cleaner so it was a must to get anyway not much to discuss, just connected it to my regular Zodiac MX6 hose and poof all done. Please remember this hose works on Baracuda cleaners only, so make sure your units are compatible.
