Strider Elbow & Knee Pads, Black - Easy to Attach - Durable & Washable - For Kids 18 Months to 5 Years Old

I had the hardest time finding knee pads for my petite 2-yr old. They were all too big even when adjusted to the tightest fit. However...this set is great because the elbow pads are exactly the same as the knee pads but smaller!!! So I decided to use the elbow pads as knee pads and they work perfectly!!! Then, when my little one grows out of using the elbow pads as knee pads, I can use the (actual) knee pads on his knees and then switch the elbow pads to his elbows! It’s like getting 2 sets in 1! Couldn’t be happier!!!

This is our second set of these pads. My oldest wore them from 2-6 years old. She used them for bike riding, roller skating, and riding her scooter. These saved her from lots of scrapes and falls. One of the straps on the knee pad finally broke after four years of constant use. My 2 year old just received a set and they fit her perfectly and have already saved her knees from a couple scrapes. They are a great size for kids and grow with them. I highly recommend.

These are fantastic. They were a little big for my 20 month old, but now that he is 3, it fits much better. My son is 50% for height and weight as a 3 year old and there's lots of slack left in the straps. When I first got them, I had to cross the straps. For a 2 year old, it's a little too big. It's well made and durable. My son has had several spills on his bike. This definitely saved many scraped knees and elbows. The straps do get a little twisted up with time but the Velcro remains effective after 7 months. My son is also able to run with the knee pads on so they are not too restricting.

I like the product but their claims that they fit 18 months to 5 years are not true. The elbow pads do not fit my almost 4 year old who, while small for his age, is DEFINITELY not the size of an 18 month old. I am going to keep them as if I dress him in extra clothes I can get them to stay on but I am not happy with the sizing at all. The knee pads do just fit over trousers. I really do wish I could find ones that really fit him properly and I was so sure these would be the ones. The product itself seems great (hence me giving it four stars) just please don't order them for your small child thinking they will fit.

This is a nice set of knees and elbow pads. Nicely padded, and won’t feel too hot. I read it somewhere that it might be too big for some kids. But it’s not for my 2-year-old. And the color can goes with any bike and clothes so we are happy with the purchase.

High quality, excellent protection, toddler/preschooler size. These are easy to put on and provide excellent protection. My granddaughter is 2-years-old and the knee pads are a little on the big side for her (she's average height and weight for her age). As long as she wears them over long pants, they stay up. I think they will last at least a couple of more years (durability and size-wise). She rides a scooter and balance bike and these have helped her build confidence and avoid nasty scraped knees when she falls.

I don’t have any knowledge of how these pads might protect elbows and knees because they are WAY WAY too big for my 42 lb 3 year olds. The company decided to make the Velcro strips 1in long and that inch ends at least half an inch from where we need it to start in order to fit. If we stick the pads on by overlapping as little as possible there is a huge tail of unused strap (that my kid hates) and they still slide down his arm and off the elbow. The straps (not the pads) actually fit me perfectly and I’m almost 100 lbs over their target audience. My sons wore them with long sleeve shirts and they *might* fit with thick coats, but we live in Phoenix so that doesn’t apply to us. We might keep them if I can sew a fix to the problem, but likely they are going back.Bottom line: The straps should CLEARLY be smaller and the cost-saving decision to use a tiny strip of Velcro rather than a full length makes them all but useless for kids under 50 pounds or so.

We ordered these around Christmas time for our child who was almost 2 (but very thin) since she loves trying to keep up with her big brother on her baby scooter. These pads were the smallest we could find that looked like they offer real protection just like the big kids' knee/elbow pads - unlike the other brands you might find a the toy store, which have no shape, the Strider brand is articulated and seems comfortable to run around, squat, and bend in. We're really pleased with the quality of this set and our daughter's knees have been saved from many scrapes and bruises in the past few months.
