Since I was a kid, I have used aloe vera for treating sunburns. While I do like the soothing effects of aloe vera, as an adult, I don't have the room (or the green thumb!) to keep a live aloe vera plant in my home. As a result, I decided to order this powder. I got a mild sunburn on my shoulders yesterday while working on my garden. I mixed up some of this powder into a paste, applied it to my shoulders, and just waited for it to work. Overall, it worked relatively well! It had a nice calming effect on the heat and pain caused by the sunburn. I don't think it does as good of a job as actual aloe vera - but for those of us who aren't willing to grow aloe vera, I think it's a great option!
