Very pleased
Love the wide top for cleaning. Other 15 gallon fermenters, even from the same manufacturer, can be difficult to clean inside. Very pleased.

Downgraded to one star
I have a 30l Speidel fermenter and it is solid, and well designed. In theory, this larger unit could have been great except for the inexplicably poorly engineered, and difficult to use lid. After working with this for a week, it is completely frustrating to use for many reasons.First, you have to immediately go to YouTube and find a video that shows how to modify the lid so that that the tightening band does not fall off each and every time you take the lid off and put it on. This takes a drill, a very small bit, some zip ties, and small pliars. Unless you perform this modification, it is extremely difficult to manipulate the lid/band without assistance.Second, the gasket often falls out, either into the wine, or onto the floor when you take the lid off or try to put it back on. Obviously you now have to clean and sanitize the gasket each time and try to carefully get it into the lid groove, and make sure it does not fall out when you now have to lower the lid onto the container. Why the gasket was not designed to stay in place I don't know.Third, you have to remember to take off the air lock every time you put the lid on, because the force needed to get the lid sealed onto the container will catapult the moveable part of the airlock into the air, spilling water or sulfite solution onto you, the floor, and on top of the lid.The simple act of punching down a cap, taking a sample, adding nutrients, etc., becomes a very frustrating effort every single time, and the risk of contamination is greatly increased because of the poor design of the lid.It would have been sooooooo much better, easier, and much less trouble if they had just made a screw lid like the smaller models with a gasket that fits securely in the lid. At the very least, they could have thought up a better gasket seating design, and made the locking band easier to use.The only advantage to this is that it is really a perfect size for making wine beyond the 5 gallon carboys, but not having a giant 30 gallon fermenter.

It's ok
It just a simple big bucket. It's good for fermenting large batches. But for the price, you'd think it would have imprints to measure how many gallons you have in it. Overall, it's just ok.

Not worth it
Big Bucket that lets in air, not ideal for homebrewing.

Very satisfied
Shes a beast. Super easy to clean. The handles are strong and overall well built. The valve could be a little bigger but its a minor inconvenience.
