Excellent walking aid.
Since suffering a stroke/bleed on the brain, I've found that my balance has been affected. I have been using a normal hiking pole for support, but have found that the lack of a proper handle on top causes discomfort to my hand. The T-Bar handle on this one is perfect for me. All the benefits of a normal hiking pole with a comfortable handle. The only thing better would be not needing a walking stick!!!

Good pole, poor ferrule
It's a good pole. I like the multi-functional handle (that's why I bought it).I really like using this stick in 'tall walking stick' mode; nice & relaxed whilst strolling, good support going up and down hills. I find myself not adjusting it after finding this position which works very well for me.The shock absorption really helps with my ankle injury; this stick should contribute nicely to my recovery. The only downside I have found is that the rubber ferrule included with the stick broke within 1 hour usage, the metal tip coming right through it. I replaced with a Leki one, a pair of which I bought for £7 on the high street, which seems to be holding up well upon daily usage. In short, buy some ferrules when you buy this pole, but no need to let that issue put you off. It's a very good pole at this price.

I lost it
I have a couple of other walkings sticks which I mean a pair of Nordic walking poles and just normal walking poles. I wanted just a single pole with a handle for when I went out with my camera. I had purchased one of these a couple of years ago for my sister for Christmas and to be honest I don't think she a bit of a traditionist and used a wooden one that my dad used and I think had sentimental value. Anyway I've used this stick for quite a few months and I use it slightly higher than I would do if I had a bad ankle or something it's just there as a crutch something to have in my hand. I really like this stick and I do not take out the others at all now even when I went on holiday. A couple of weeks ago while out with my camera I had a problem with a flash leaking over my bag and while I was sorting it out I wasn't thinking and left my stick by a tree. The weather was horrendous I didn't bother to go back up for about a week. I was so happy to see my stick was still there and how much I are you missed used it on the walk up and have much better it was once a found my stick. The highest praise is if I hadn't found my stick I would have bought another one. Good price and very sturdy stick

Comfortable handle, cheap poor quality ferrule!
I use walking poles instead of a walking stick on a day to day basis, so important it lasts and is comfortable. Found the handle on this one is very comfortable, better than some more expensive sticks, so no issues using it all day. The ferrule / tip is however extremely cheap / poor quality, and wore through to the metal nib underneath after only a few days usage! Not a huge issue but can be slippery on hard surfaces once it's worn through, so be sure to have some spare tips available for use sooner than you'd think

a good walking stick
this is a good stick but I found it difficult to adjust. I had to contact the firm to get information on adjusting it and even now I am a bit perplexed, however it is now at the right height for me and so far gives me good support when walking on rough ground

Confidence building
These poles are lightweight and sturdy. I am not a tiny woman and they manage my weight well. I live in a snowy city and fell at the beginning of the winter. I bought these to increase my confidence on snow and ice and they have done that and I haven't fallen since. I find the hand holds very comfortable. The poles were a good purchase to get me out of the house this winter.

Good quality walking stick/trekking pole
This thing is sturdy. It has saved me slipping on icy paths and in deep snow. The handle isn't cork, but it is a sort of hard rubber and is comfortable to hold. Pleased I purchased this ahead of winter.

I have not tested it so only 4 stars. Came fast, looks sturdy like a hiking pole I have.

Exactly as expected
I hike a lot. I have different walking sticks/poles depending on season and terrain. I use this type of stick for winter time. The carbide tip excellent for ice. Because I "palm" my stick and use it like a cane, I don't like most of the hiking sticks with the right tip because the top of the pole isn't really conducive to being used like a cane. That's where this specific pole shines. It's a cane top. It's perfect. To clear up a couple confusions: The colour says orange but the picture shows a black walking stick. It IS a black stick with subtle orange pattern on the top section. You can see this in the pictures if you look close. Secondly: The handle is a composite cork design. I suspect it is a rubber and cork mix. It's not a hard plastic. It's pleasant in the hand. It is NOT however a regular cork handle.
