Extreme Caution with Air Plant Tillandsias
I am an avid air plant owner and have sought to find different fertilizers to help my air plants grow in the slightly dry climate of Colorado. Having read the reviews for this product I was inclined to use this product for not only my bromeliads, but also my air plants. Within a week all of the air plants I fertilized based off of the instructions on the box as well as what some customers commented as their experiences were brown, lifeless, and some of my favorites died due to moss growth within the leaves. About half I fertilized with just the recommended dilution of fertilizer in water, the others I sprinkled a very small amount among the bases of the plants. I am sincerely saddened that I have lost the majority of my air plants that I have cultivated for over five years. I suppose it was my fault for not trying the product out on a few plants first and then seeing the results, but customers commented on using it for air plants and the labels on the box indicate applicable to all Tillandsia plants. I advise future customers to be wary in using this product and try it out on only a few plants first if being used on air plants, and I can only hope my bromeliads will not suffer the same results as my air plants. It might be wise to test this product out on some bromeliads as well.

works great on hibiscus!
I have hibiscus plants around my pool and for the last few years, they have been dying out in the middle of the summer, so I researched fertilizers especially for hibiscus and found this product. It is awesome! The few times this summer my hibiscus started to wither and look like they were going to die, I used this product and they came right back, as beautiful as ever. It is now near mid October and for the first time, I still have blooms on my hibiscus plants. Well worth the money!

My tillandsia are quite happy with their food.
Being new to growing and maintaining tillandsia, I can't really break it down scientifically so in layman's terms. I follow the directions on the container. My tillandsia are blooming and growing well in MAINE in the winter. So I'd say this stuff works pretty good. I use slightly less than the recommended amount in 1 out of 4 of my weekly soaks and my tillandsia thank me for it. Not to mention(ahem ahem) I have quite the green thumb. I find this fertilizer works well when sprinkled at the base of my pineapple plant and slowly absorbs through many waterings. I also am growing two avocado tree indoors but that has nothing to do with this fertilizer. I only said that to boast because I am a California boy bringing the California to Maine. On a side note: When my hibiscus were ruthlessly massacred by a spider mite invasion my trees were literally dying. I tried every organic spray and home remedy but these little buggers were winning the war. Figuring I had nothing to lose since my hibiscus was leafless I ordered 1,500 lady bugs and quarantined the trees. Still didn't do the job. So i poured some of this fertilizer at the base of the trees and pretty soon I had leaves again. I now overly mist them every day sometimes multiple times as this bums spider mites out and they don't procreate. So far so good. Looks like I am winning the war. This message will self destruct in 5 seconds...

Excellent specialty food for bromeliads
Excellent to have a product specifically designed for bromeliads. A lot of commonly used orchid food fertilizers contain Copper which is toxic to bromeliads, and Guzmanias also hate Boron. The micros used in this formula are all useful, and non toxic to the plants. The two biggest complaints that people seem to have about this food is the size and the potency. When it comes to the size, it's standard for all Grow More products, and is geared towards people that have a good amount of bromeliads. If you have one or two air plants, this will be way more fertilizer than you need; so buy with a friend, or make a one time investment and use it for years, or better still buy more air plants! As for the potency, you should always use fertilizer at lower than the recommended rate for all bromeliads, period. Regardless of whether this is specialty food. I dilute at half strength and always get my bromeliads damp prior to applying. You don't want to over-fertilize any colorful leaf bromeliads anyway, since you'll lose the color and they'll turn green. For me, this product is perfect. I use it on my Vrieseas, Aechmeas, Neos, and all my Tillandsias.

Can't say good or bad, i haven;t used it yet, but for the amount you get, even if its mediocre, its worth the price. 1/4 teaspoon per 1 gallon, will last forever.
