Does the job by holding whatever you need it to, in my case workbooks and laptop. There are gaps either side of the flap so stuff inside gets wet if it rains. The studs around the holes for the drawstring lift up which have scratched me a few times and drawn blood, which isn't what I'd expect from a backpack. It has been useful to me for a few months but I'm now looking for another bag due to this one attacking me when I want to get something out!

This backpack was a gift for my wife (she specifically asked for it) and while in general it's pretty good as a bag, she has noticed that the eyelets on the inside of the bag* tend to come apart, thus exposing sharp points of metal which can easily scratch your hand (many times drawing blood).* Underneath that top flap, there's a drawstring opening for the bag itself, with the drawstring itself going in and out of metal eyelets - hopefully you can see what I mean about the points of metal that move, in fact two pictures clearly show this having happened.

Really good looking little bag. Have had for quite a few years now and have very few issues. Very little (if any) wear on inside or outside of bag after years of lugging textbooks and work to and from sixth form and now uni. The main sign of wear is the stretching of the straps (which I now have to shorten after most uses for it to not feel like it’s hanging down by my waist). However after the frequency I’ve used this and the weight it has been used to carry regularly this seems fairly natural and is not much of an issue. Good size, maybe could be a tad bigger but it’s not really been that much of an issue for me.I do like the way it fastens - (tightening a string that wraps around the opening of the bag, then clipping the lid down) however where the string threads through the bag there are metal fixtures to stop the holes becoming worn. These fixtures sometimes bend back and are very sharp, (sometimes they are malleable enough to be pushed back into place, but sometimes not) which seems quite dangerous. It hasn’t been a problem until recently so may be another sign of wear and that the bag needs replacing, but I now have to be careful when reaching into the bag as I have three or four cuts on my hand from where I have accidentally caught it on one of these metal bits when reaching in and out too quickly. For this reason I would not recommend this bag for children.Overall has served me well for quite a few years and the issues I’ve discussed have only occured recently. Perhaps time to repurchase.

Whilst I love the bag - and it is exactly as described, on it's first usage the pull tag on the zip on one of the side pockets sheared off, leaving nothing to pull the zip with. Sadly I don't have time to return the bag and get a replacement before I leave for holiday, so have come up with a work around (think piece of ribbon tied to the eyelet on the zip) - but it's not ideal. I would say the metal work on the bag is its weak point - the internal fixings of the eyelets are, as others have said, very sharp and easy to catch yourself on and I do wonder how long before the other zip fasteners shear and the clip that fastens the buckle stops working (which would be a major problem in terms of securing the bag). So, whilst I still love the style, size, shape and colour of the bag, I am disappointed in the quality of the metal work and in the fact that one of the zip fasterners failed on first use.

I like this bag; it's the perfect size for what I need. It's roomy as heck and the inside is actually decorated with a subtle floral design. very cute...though, the silky/satin lining on the side pockets isn't very strong. one loose key managed to put a hole there.and.. the metal rungs around the drawstrings come loose after some use & they are VERY SHARP.... i've cut my hand (and drawn blood) about 5 or 6 times. :(

After 2 weeks daily use this bag is looking good. It is made of strong canvas with chunky modern looking zips. Also comes with a stylish lining that looks like it may be water resistant. Holds a surprising amount of items. Easily holds an iPad and other everyday stuff, but I have also used it as an overnight bag. The top fastener is easy to open as are the zips. If the straps had been of better quality I would have given it 5 stars. But still good value for money.

Bought this bag for walking while on camping trips, only downside I can see is it won't be waterproof but I knew that when I bought it! Its plenty big enough for everything I'll need and stylish enough for me to feel happy when stopping by the pub for lunch or in the local towns and villages we walk around! Two side zipper pockets don't give access to the main bag compartment like some styles do but they are lined and big enough for a phone, small purse, tissues that kind of thing! Lovely material and the straps are a good quality too. My sister is going to want this bag when she sees it!!!

Nice strong bag however the eyelets are done in an unsafe manner. I have cut myself 3 times because the metal eyelets within lift up. I have had to use some strong tape to keep them from lifting up. Otherwise a lovely bag.
