Incredible story
This is such a unique story. Great for football/soccer enthusiasts as well as anyone interested in a 5000-1 chance story. There is a lot reference to alcohol and his pre-training energy drink comments which probably are not best as far as a role model, but it is honest, genuine and raw, and he does value his family above all. Also great re being a team player and how important his relationships with friends, managers, other players are to him.

Great book. Well written
Great book. Well written. Inspirational. Vardy took responsibility for his mistakes. Gave hims teammates credit for his success. Credited his wife and children for keeping things in perspective.

A cracking read
I found this book interesting and hilarious. It is not high-brow or intellectual, but that is fine. It is entertaining and is a good insight into Jamie Vardy's life. The only improvement I would make is the filling in of some details that are only mentioned in passing or not fully explained.

Fantastic read
Awesome rags to riches story. Doesn't pull any punches and gives an honest insight into the lives of one of England's sporting legends.Especially recommended for Wednesday fans like me, as much as it hurts to admit we threw away a diamond. Also for sports fans the world over, especially after the Leicester fairytale!Addictive reading, smashed it out in a day on holiday and was left wanting more.

Great...
Really enjoyed reading it.He explained everything with ease and was very honest, and also a bit of comedy in it!Perfect!A player who has progressed so much over the past few years and has demonstrated to the world that you don't need to play in a BIG football academy your whole life and then at the age of 15-16-17 sign a big contract with a big club, but that if you keep your head high up during difficult times and you never give up, you can make it even if you play non-league at the age of 25.He seems to have a great family and even though he went through some problems with his parents he decided he could create his own family if they didn't want to fully accept him and his girlfriend/wife.Really funny guy who is just actually a normal bloke that likes to have a drink here and there and that does and did all the things we do.The photos were allso great and he made a great choice by chosing and describing the photos.Read it in one sitting.Even though I support Spurs and I rarely read other clubs footballers autobiographies I decided to give it a goand was very surprised and happy with it.Cheers Vards!!!Really reccomend to every football fan.

Enjoyed from beginning to end
A very easy read. The book follows Jamie’s life from academy reject to non league to playing professional, winning the Premier League and representing England.Despite not being a fan of any of the clubs he has represented I enjoyed reading his journey up the football ladder. Very open and very honest with plenty of stories of nights out with a few scraps along the way, it reminded me of players a whole generation before the current modern footballer whom are perceived to be more professional than ever. However Jamie Vardy bucks the trend of the modern professional footballer not just in the way he “made it” but also how he behaved in his early years too.I found the book to be relatable to my early 20s. Jamie Vardy comes across as down to earth lad who achieved his dream the unconventional way and makes for a good read. Worth the money.

Excellent book and great sports underdog story!!
I bought this book for my son for Christmas because he needed a new book for school and is obsessed with football. He recently finished reading this book and said it is a great read; since then he has encouraged me to start reading it. We both loved Vardy's story and his rise to fame so it seemed a suitable book for us both. The book gives a great incite into his life and the struggles that he has faced. Vardy portrays a very honest story and also adds in some great humour.

Humble
I don’t often read other teams biographies, but I thought I would give Jamie Vardy’s a try & glad I did. What a humble and honest account of his life & caster. He can from no where to achieve everything he did. Great read.
