Wonderful Overview of the Catholic Mass
This book is a wonderful overview of the Catholic Mass, which would be great for someone new to going to, or learning about, the Mass, or for someone who has attended the service throughout their life, but may need a refresher on the deep meaning behind what is going on during the service. In this book, the author clearly describes exactly what is happening during each part of the Mass, and gives basic & simple explanations of the meaning behind each part. It is not an in-depth theological review of the Mass, but that is not the purpose of this book. Overall, I found it to be a great resource and will recommend it to anyone who would like to learn the basics of the Catholic Mass! My only recommendation would be to consider adding the reminder of the Eucharistic Prayer, before the Sanctus. Newcomers could get a little lost if that piece of text is missing.[It is truly right and just, our duty and our salvation, always and everywhere to give you thanks, Father most holy, through your beloved on, Jesus Christ, your Word through whom you made all things, whom you sent as our Savior and Redeemer, incarnate by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin. Fulfilling your will and gaining for you a holy people, he stretched out his hands as he endured his Passion, so as to break the bonds of death and manifest the resurrection. And so, with the angels and all the saints we declare your glory, as with one voice we acclaim: holy, holy, holy....]Lastly, I really appreciated the call to Social Justice at the end of the book. This is something that needs to be expressed and thought of more- that the Mass isn't just a service in a church, and then it's over and forgotten with.....The end of the Mass calls us to GO OUT and to serve those around us, specifically the poor. The author did a wonderful job of encouraging the reader to consider how their mind and heart are thinking about the vulnerable around them, and encouraged the reader to recognize the need to take action in their community through service and advocacy. The Mass should CHANGE us. And this book helps the reader to understand both the Mass, as well as the call as Christians to step out after, with the graces received to make a lasting change in the world.

Too big font size for me
This book is way too big for me. Very large text, which is great for people who have a hard time seeing. But I need smaller book. I want give it a five stars because of the good content.

Easy To Read, Easy To Use
I am in the process of converting. When I attend Mass with my wife, who is catholic, she explains things to me, or helps me with what to respond. However when I attend with our adult OCIA class I am sometimes clueless. This booklet is simple to understand and is more "real world" helpful than some other guides. I wish there was a smaller pocket edition, but the large size of the print in this booklet makes it easy to read and to highlight certain things.

Right to the point
A pleasant read for those who need a quick understanding of the basics of Catholic Mass. Also a goo refresher for those who have strayed away for a while and wish to come back home.

Almost all you need to know about following along during mass
Since I rejoined the church many things have changed. I was looking for a book that told me what to do or say. This book does a good job but doesn't include the santuse prayer or when to bow.

Guide to Mass
This book is a practical and insightful resource for anyone wishing to understand and fully participate in the Holy Mass. The book provides a detailed breakdown of each part of the Mass, from the opening procession to the final blessing, making it suitable for both lifelong Catholics and those new to the faith.I particularly enjoyed how the book includes the exact wording of prayers and responses, such as the Profession of Faith, which offers both the Nicene and Apostles' Creeds. This inclusion is especially helpful for those learning or refreshing their understanding of these core declarations of faith. The section on the Gospel reading stood out, as it explains not only the spoken words but also the accompanying gestures, like the congregation's small crosses on their forehead, lips, and heart, symbolising their intention to carry the Gospel in their thoughts, words, and hearts. With its clear structure and complete content, this book is an excellent companion for a deeper appreciation of the Mass.

Don't waste your time with this book.
The book is good for a 3rd grader. Provides little of any insight into the mass.it is not comprehensive.
