Quantum Mechanics (Dover Books on Physics)

I have been the proud owner and reader of "Quantum Mechanics Volume I" by Albert Messiah since the 1980s. It is on the same set of shelves as "Quantum Mechanics Fourth Edition" by P.A.M. Dirac, "Quantum Mechanics Third Edition" by L.I. Schiff, "Quantum Mechanics Second Edition" by E. Merzbacher, and "Quantum Mechanics" by A. Bohm. Now I am the enchanted owner and reader of both volumes by Albert Messiah. It is the most encyclopedic covering of quantum mechanics that I have had the opportunity to read and enjoy. The problems in both volumes are very good and thought provoking. I wholeheartedly recommend these two volumes to anyone who is interested in the history and development of quantum mechanics.

If want to become a quantum mechanic then this is your book to find excellent as a mathematics

DO PONTO DE VISTA DA APRESENTAÇÃO DO TEMA O CONSIDERO UM TEXTO ESPETACULAR. RECOMENDO COMO BIBLIOGRAFIA ATÉ MESMO PARA QUEM ESTÁ ADOTANDO OUTRO TEXTO COMO UM MODO DE COMPLEMENTAR OS ESTUDOS.

Kann ich nur empfehlen. Dieses Buch hat mich während mein Studium lange begleitet und bleibt immer noch auf meinem Regal als ein gutes Nachschlagewerk.

I like this English version as much as my French version in the 1970. It is still the classic strong point of quantum mechanics. The equations are out of date for today style of writing which is much more algebraic, but all the essence is there.
