This is a photocopy of an old book, not the current standard.
When I am looking for a book for which I know the title and creator/publisher, I should not have to read the fine print to discover that this is a photocopy of that creator's work from over 100 years ago that was photocopied in 2015. Very misleading, particularly when the original creator and photocopy date (2015) are used in the the product title. Amazon should really do a better job policing garbage like this.

Copy of the 1905 Standard of Perfection. Not updated version. In black and white.
I guess it is what I ordered... But, I think it was unclear of exactly what I was ordering. It is a book, the standard of perfection from 1905 so it's missing at least a few breeds... The ones that have been added since 1905. If you are looking for an updated book, in color, I would order from the APA website for $59. That's what I just did since this is missing a number of duck breeds that we are looking to raise and my kids want to show.

Not the current SOP, AND is a copyright infringement
This is a photocopy of the 1800s SOP. I am pretty sure after speaking with the APA that it is infringing upon their copyright. If you want the real deal, buy directly from the American Poultry Association. I returned this one.

Misleading but useful
It is my fault for looking for a title rather than a specific release of a book ,I found this book in my results from searching for the 44th edition which would be current not 115 years out of date. That said it should have labeled outright that it was "Historical" version... All of that said much of the information it contains is still relevant and worth a read (reason for the three stars)!

Some pages aren't easy to read because of light printing
This book is just as stated. Some pages aren't easy to read because of light printing. There are no colored pictures. This book only covers a few breeds that are Americas oldest. A lot of breeds are NOT in this book. If you are looking to save money by not spending the $60 on The American Standard of Perfection I beg you please don't purchase this book. Just pay the 60$ and enjoy a fully colored copy of the American SOP instead. That book at leasts lists ALL approved breeds. I may donate this book to the library...

Very grainy. Hard to read.
There was no color like im used to in apa books and the pictures appear grainy or pixilated. Hard to read some texts too. Not worth the money. Should have spent a little extra and gotten it from apa itself.

DO NOT BUY!
Will send back immediately! The book contains nothing about poultry at all! I should have read other reviews to know that this was not the real thing.

Great Book. Poor Illustrations.
Very helpful and nice. Wish it was in color or that the illustrations were better quality they are very hard to see or compare to your birds. Hopefully they will come out with an updated version soon
