This little beta tank looks nice and is a great deal. The led light is overly bright, but you can put opaque film over it. My daughter loves it and it doesn’t take up too much space. The filter is pretty quiet as long as you maintain the proper water level.

The media could not be loaded. This is a great tank!! We tried another tank off Amazon & were very disappointed, but this one has exceeded expectations!! We have 2 Blue Velvet (1 male, 1 female) shrimp and a black Nerite snail. The female shrimp has eggs that she has been carrying so we hope to have some babies soon. This is definitely the best bang for your buck on Amazon for a small tank. It's quite & the light is really bright (we only keep it on for 12hrs or so daily). One thing is some other reviews talked about the lid and it falling in, so we used some small pieces of clear packing tape to hold it on to prevent oir cats or us knocking it in. Also, you don't have to use the surface skimmer/rotator thing, the filter comes with an extension so you can skip it & that's what we did to prevent any of our shrimp from getting into the small hole at the top of it.UPDATE:Mama shrimp laid her eggs and we have shrimp babies!! So the shrimp definitely love the tank!! We also added live salvinia for the surface and a live anubias nana petite.

Very finicky filter, if bumped or moved ever so slightly all hell breaks loose! I sat and watched in disbelief as the water level dropped in a matter of a minute (read time to take a leak) and had a small flood. The tank is perfect but the filter is not of high quality sadly, as this is a neat little tank, they did not leave enough room for the light and the filter to fit in the slot in the lid and that is where the problem arises. The lid kicks the suction tube cockeyed and then starts leaking out the back, my solution was to eliminate the filter and replace with a better quality one

I got this to replace an older plastic one for a betta fish at my work desk. I really liked it. Really cute design and great look. The downside is that the led light is incredibly strong and distracting. I wish it provided a way to adjust the intensity. I find myself turning it off the majority of the time. I don’t think the fish appreciates it either.

Filter stopped working and leaks everywhere! Woke up to almost no water in my fish tank and fishes had no room to swim. All of the water leaked out of the filter and all over my floor and counters. Water filter is very cheaply made.

For the price of this kit it was definitely worth the buy. It is 1.5 gallons but it comes with a hang on the back filter, a very bright aquarium light, and glass aquarium with a lid. It was packaged really well and arrived in one piece. I only had to buy a heater for this tank and setting it up was very easy. The filter is very quiet and you can adjust the flow. I lowered my to the lowest for my female betta.

We have exchange kids and were blessed with her 2 orphaned betta fish. Received this quickly and it set up easily, looked beautiful!Unfortunately I didn’t know about betta fish and they killed each other.
