Great socks
Have appreciated this brand of socks for a while. They have become harder to find. I was concerned with this order in that it did not ask size. I had ordered them from Amazon before so perhaps they used that. In any event they fit adequately and plan to order more early next year

Not for anyone with active ankle edema
I ordered the Simcan Tender Top Diabetic Socks, Women's 5-8.5 size for my size 7.5 foot and received a sock package marked "S". They have nice width through the foot part and they look like nice dress socks but being pretty short [toe to heel] they barely fit back to my heel despite the Spandex content. I am not sure if "Made in China" contributes to the sizing and am not sure how these would fit a size 8.5 except with a lot of tugging and pulling. They seem to get more narrow through the ankle and are compressing so are probably not the right choice for people with ankle edema. There is an elastic thread running around the very top of the sock which is even smaller than the top width of the top of the sock. It makes it very uncomfortable to cuff the sock over. If you are tiny, or have very skinny ankles and feet this might be the sock for you. If I had known this was the small size I would have probably ordered the next size up. From now on I will stick with the truly "no top constriction" style that is on the market.

Beware .. these are NOT 98% cotton as described.
The description of these socks said they were 98% cotton and 2% spandex and that's why I wanted them. But the package says 73% cotton, 25% nylon and 2% spandex. The only reason I'm not returning them for a refund is because that will cost $6.99 shipping. Not worth the effort for less than a $2.00 refund.

TIGHT SOCKS
This is sock is NOT good for anyone with any kind of foot or leg problem. Even the name "Tender Top" is a misnomer. I have thin legs and ankles, and this sock is very tight and uncomfortable. What would it be like for someone with swelling or pain in his or her legs? I think that this product is poorly designed with too much elastic and not enough give.
