Buyer beware!
I bought these fixtures because they were advertised for "outdoor use". No way! After the first rainfall, the fixtures filled up with water due to no drain hole. The sockets were ruined in two weeks, as were the lights themselves! A total waste!

It seems these are not really weather proof. The first rain we had they filled with water and quit working. They were great before the rain.

Easy installation
Nice product. The gasket seal hole is too small for the bulb. Had to enlarge the hole so the bulb would fit. However it should still seal good.

Sturdy, assembly a challenge, water seal ineffective, but has lots of pluses
I like that although it is plastic, it is a very sturdy plastic that can take lots of abuse. It should hold up fine outdoors. Really like the heavy duty 6 foot cord. Drawbacks: it uses carriage bolts (square head) to hold bol in place while tighten wing nut on other side, but on all 3 of them, the square was not well defined, meaning that you had to use a LOT of pressure to force the square bolt head into the plastic (make sure you line up the square as best you can. I had to push the bolt in by pressing it as hard as I could using wood to support the plastic. Other big drawback is that the seal is ineffective - on all three, I was unable to screw in a standard floodlight with the seal in place because it is too thick to allow the bulb to screw in. I had to remove the seal, push it up on the bulb base, screw the bulb in and then push the seal down as far as I could with a screwdriver. It will not seal properly, as noted by another reviewer. I plan to place it with a downward angle and hold for the best in a driving rain. All this said, I am going to keep it and try it because it is so sturdy, and with the price, I think it is a good value for my needs. Will let you know if I have issues. Plan to test it with a water hose.
