Another gem in the Listography series. It really does make a perfect gift - I've seen many people give this to friends whose wide eyes upon tearing open the wrapping paper say it all - but if you're thinking of buying it for yourself, I say... go for it!It's such fun to fill in, and not just for list-lovers either. The idea really is genius. I think it's important to document what you do and don't like, but it also makes for an interesting read years, or even just months, later. You might discover which music you should be looking into next, or realise why you love that song so much. The best pages are open for the future, like 'music genres to explore someday'.The space for writing and width of the lines isn't very big, so if you're a neat freak, then I'd think about writing your additions in pencil or on sticky notes first - but where's the fun in that? This book is a time and a place - you should look back and cringe, scribbling out that bad choice of 'theme song for your life', edit your dream festival line up over the years, or nod in approval at your younger self's favourite album, finally appreciating your excellent taste in music.For everyone - buy this book!

I bought this as a present for a music-loving friend. He and his baby daughter share the same birthday and I thought it would make a great gift - something he could fill in and then one day pass to her. (At the same time I bought the Film Listography book - just as much fun as this one.)I couldn't help but have a sneaky flip through the book before I wrapped it up and immediately put in a second order so that I had a copy as well.

One of those excellent books for wasting your time with. Its a good conversation booster to have around with friends and a bottle of wine, discussing your ultimate music lists! Warning....the debates can get quite heated!

I love the listography books and this music one is probably my favourite. Great prompts, asks all about your favourite bands, favourite songs, most memorable concerts etc as well as some questions about music you hate! Fair amount of space to write on each page and the quality of the paper is nice. Would make a good present for a music lover.

This is a great gift for the music lover in your life. There are lots of list ideas and room to create your own.My brother loved it so much that I now have to buy my other brother one too

Bought one of these last Christmas for my daughter and when my son saw it he had to have one too! They both love music from all eras and filling in the listography is lots of fun! Will be interesting to look back in years to come and see if you would still make the same choices.

Bought it for xmas for my boyfriend who loves indie and rock, he really enjoyed filling it in, and he still uses it a lot. It's a way for him to revel in his obsessions without boring me, and the pictures and quotes in it even relate to the music he likes; its as if it was made for him.

This is so fun! I love all the different kinds of lists!! Not even halfway through it and it’s still so much fun to remember all the different songs that I love!!
