I have a handful of these for my outdoor animals. This product is the most durable, weather-resistant, low-maintenance, easy-to-clean option that I’ve used. Other products (namely the cutesy little wooden critter houses with shingle-like roofing) claim to keep your small friends protected from the elements, and some do for a year or so, but this is the only one that doesn’t rot or lose structural integrity after multiple years of use.And it’s made cleaning a breeze. The inside is smooth and non-porous, so you just pop the top off and hose it out. Sit it in the sun for a bit and it’s dry as a bone, ready to be refilled with bedding or bathing dust (depending on what animal/purpose you’re using it for).Like I said, I bought multiples… but never because one needed replacing.

First one got a few feral cats through the winter, after stuffing it with warm blankets, putting it under a table, raising it up a few inches and covering the table with painters plastic sheeting, leaving two exit openings. (put the roof on backwards so cats have two entrances/exits.) We now have another cat that has been sleeping in the barn for the last two years. Can't catch the beauty but can give it a safe, warm place to go this winter. We put this one in the barn and raised it with the roof backwards again. It has been slept in since day one. Very easy to clean. Great product!

Giving 4 stars instead of 5 because the lid is slightly too large so it just sits on top of the bottom instead of snaps to it like it was designed to do. Besides that, good quality. It is sturdy and spacious.

I purchased this for my stray cat I was amazed by the sturdiness of the product, the size was appropriate and the price was good. Yes I would recommend this item and purchased another if my cat is female and has kittens can’t wait to see

I bought this for our barn cat. He stays in the tack room at night and during the day he is outdoors. When the weather is cold, rainy/snow he likes to stay close to our storm door so he can see us. He outgrew his little cat carrier that I weather proofed for him. Now he has this Petmate Outdoor house. He loves it!

Works ok. I wouldn’t suggest for a permanent shelter. Top and bottom piece will not stay together. Even with the snaps on side

I’m really impressed with this product. It came quickly and was extremely easy to assemble. Nice and sturdy as well. I added some hay and put it outside for our feral cat to use. She really enjoys it! I’m happy she has shelter from the cold now
