Doesn't work properly with older equipment, unless you like black & white
Works fine with a modern-ish LCD TV but doesn't work properly with either of the two VCRs or the CRT TV I was intending to use it with. They just display a black & white image as they clearly can't handle the colour signal. Naturally the manual doesn't say anything about this. It does convert to PAL somewhat correctly as I can record the B&W picture using one of VCRs, something I couldn't do with the NTSC signal that my Roku box puts out over its own AV output.Can draw power through HDMI or when powered by USB could transmit power the Roku box attached, not sure it should work like that or how long the cable can be but a nice bonus.

It works, but don't expect HD!
I used this so I could watch films on my ipad through an old AV receiver (so several cables needed to get from Lightning - HDMI - this box - RCA - Amp). The good news: It works. The less good news is the resulting picture ... very low res. Fine for me since quality is not essential but do not use if expecting HD results.

Double check to make sure you're converting in the right direction!
HDMI to RCA converters often come up when searching for RCA to HDMI converters. Make sure you're ordering the right one.

Firestick to TV with no HDMI
Had an older Plasma TV with no HDMI connection so could not use Firestick. Using the converter I was able to connect my Firestick to the TV successfully. Picture quality slightly less than normal but very acceptable.

WORKS PERFECTLY
I use the converter between my laptop and television to record youtube. As long as you have a scart or composite input on your TV (or recorder) it works. Of course you also require a HDMI lead to connect your laptop to the converter as well. Nice cheap(ish) solution. Has both Pal and NTSC output to choose from.

IT WORKED!!
Love it it worked an saved me buying a new tv, I have a old Sony that I love and can keep it bit longer now. Definitely recommend if you have faulty hdmi.

Works well as described
Very small and light adapter (metal box). I use it to connect an Apple TV to an old TV via RCA. USB power is handy without the need for an additional power adapter. The picture is good.
