Almost perfect toilet
It looks great, is easy to clean on the outside with the skirted design. Stays clean on the inside with the non-stick glaze and solid flush pattern. The only improvement I'd make is fix the fill valve setup to not make noise as it fills. Right now, you hear the water dripping and splashing as it refills. It's probably easy enough to switch out the fill valve with one that lets the water flow smoothly down to the bottom instead of falling and splashing. That one improvement will make this toilet perfect. I expect the toilet to impress everyone who doesn't know what they are missing with their cheapy toilets.

Works very well in a small bathroom
I bought this to replace a classic old toilet in a small bathroom that is 4 feet wide. What I got was a high, elongated bowl and GAINED 1/2" of space to the wall across from the seat. The toughest part of the installation was drilling the holes through the ceramic tile. Used Bosch ceramic tile drill bits. The second hardest part was jogging the water supply from 6 to 8 inches off center. The coating of the bowl is remarkable. It still looks clean after a month of use. I will be sure to avoid using cleanser as they advise. The Bemis slow close seat with the brushed nickel hinges (separate purchase) looks and works great. I also used the 14" Trapway, Fluidmaster waxless seal and nylon plastic shims for leveling.

Plumber installed. Handle needs improvement
Like the easy to clean part. The flush handle has issues and customer service not helpful. They say it’s supposed to be loose and wobbly

Toilet is great, delivery a nightmare
The toilet itself is awesome but Amazon first sent only half of the toilet (only one of the two packages arrived) and it was a huge debacle to get the replacement sent and original half picked up by UPS. It also delayed our bathroom renovation by multiple days costing us money. Having said that I would replace any toilet with this one - huge bonus that we could buy a Toto 14” trap adapter so the toilet sits properly against the wall.

... a plumber I've installed several totos with the unique waste connection and must say that it requires more time
As a plumber I've installed several totos with the unique waste connection and must say that it requires more time, hardware, and if you ever replace it there will four holes in your floor. On the last three, each water supply had to be re-routed. Please consider the departure of standard tiolet plumbing before purchase.

so have a good plumber. Nicely engineered
This is a difficult toilet to install, so have a good plumber. Nicely engineered, quiet and fast flush. The lid to the tank was broken on arrival, so insist on special packing and a reliable shipper.

Amazon is the place to buy a TOTO
I have never particularly paid attention to toilets...obviously. But somehow, somewhere in my life, the knowledge that TOTO was a great toilet brand, seeped into my brain, and when it came time to reno the bathrooms, I started looking into it. Our GC bought the two we needed for the renovation for an amount of money that I don't care to ever know about, but once they were in I fell in in love with them.Pros: GREAT power, minimal water usage, slim profile, higher seat (which, once you experience, makes low toilets seem reeeeaaally low), and a skirted design that won't look dusty and gross like the regular curly-cue bottomed toilets. Also, your plumber and GC will be really impressed, and ooh and ahh over your toilet. Who doesn't love that?Cons: none. literally none. This toilet is amazing.Well, the two full price toilets came in and I realized that our basement bathroom should have an equally delightful toilet, but I wanted it quickly (while the plumber was still coming around), and I wanted it cheaper. I have NEVER bought anything like this from Amazon and I was really terrified about the condition it would arrive in, but it was PERFECT. Went in easily, though the plumber mentioned having to open up the wall because of the connection something or other, but I don't think he actually did that because the wall behind the toilet doesn't look touched, and while my GC is a dream, he's not THAT fast!Basically, I'm counting on the major discount of this toilet to average out the pricing of the other two to something I can justify, but if you are looking to buy a TOTO, Amazon gets my highest recommendation.

Looks great, works great
After EXTENSIVE research, I purchased two of these for my house. Firstly, the Vespin II is the skirted version of the Drake II. The Drake is the #1 preferred toilet on the Terry Love website, which is primarily used by plumbers. I really wanted a skirt, so after talking over my concerns with the very helpful customer service representative at Toto, we went with the Vespin II.They look and work great. I love, love, love the skirt -- no more having to clean the curvy "intestines" of the toilet. The flush takes care of everything with which it is presented, the first time. It is no louder than any other toilet. I have never needed a plunger for either of my Vespin IIs. They are easy to clean, just a toilet brush and a mild environmentally cleanser (I use Seventh Generation) or dish soap, and they sparkle. As for the water spot, it is smaller than with a standard, old-school toilet, but we have not had issues with #2 sticking to the bowl, except when illness has been present. However, it is that way with any toilet. The internal workings of the toilet are made in the USA by Korky, and are available at any big box hardware store. That was an important feature to me.
