Very accurate. Easy to read glow in the dark dial. I switched to an expansion band and it’s very comfortable. I like the size and the tan face.

My second Seiko, and it's a winner as much as the first has been since I bought it about eight years ago...This watch looks so cool, is easily read, and is an all-around sports watch. Two thumbs up! :-)

I was looking for a simple face, where it's easy to get the time at a glance, where it shows nice at night without creating a lot of light, and is a watch that keeps impeccable time without adjustments periodically. A watch that is durable but goes in all occasions. This watch is it for me ... all around a 9 of 10 (would improve only if when setting the watch the time stopped so that it can be set perfectly to the world clock). Great watch, good price, and it's "automatic" which means it runs under it's own self-winding power, and has 23 jewels. This watch doesn't need solar or batteries, so it's an excellent choice for those that want durability and sustainability. I like it .... good quality and price Seiko, thanks.

This watch has become my first choice for daily wear. I specifically wanted a Japanese-made Seiko 5 in the 40mm+ size format with a nylon band, and that's exactly what I received. I do suspect that the band won't hold up very well, but that's easily replaced. The watch runs well, keeps good time for a mechanical (gains 5-10 seconds a day), is comfortable to wear, and looks good. Don't expect bright and luminous markers, be aware that the date and day change slowly over the course of several hours, and don't assume that you'll be able to wind this watch by hand. If you're OK with all that, and you're happy with the size, this is a great watch for the money. Amazon product descriptions can have mistakes in them, but this one was accurate.

For those wondering if this watch has "Made in Japan" on the dial - it does. For some reason the photo posted by Amazon does not show. "Made in Japan" is also on the back beneath the crystal (Hardlex). Happily surprised with the weight of this watch - for some reason I expected it to by much lighter. It is not dive watch heavy, but feels solid. I replaced the strap with a Nato, and now I have a pretty darn good-looking everyday watch for a reasonable price!

Love the watch. Nice band, easy to read, luckily easy to set, because if it sits longer than 12 hours it stops. No way to wind manually. Lately is starting to lose time during the day. I've learned not to rely on it. I've been late to a couple appointments because even though its still running it has lost a hour or more. This after wearing it daily for weeks. Truly disappointed. At least I won't have to worry about a battery going dead while it sits in the drawer. Back to the Citizen solar I can trust.

Shipment was timely. Product condition was new and typical of what one expects when buying new. Manufactured in Japan shows on inside of back glass. Beautifully crafted piece, not too overstated, unobtrusive being nice and thin from top to bottom, good low profile. A solid piece of work / craftsmanship all around. As others have stated, if the band does not fit to your liking, it's easy to pick up in a preferred size. I like the color scheme.

I own 6 or 7 Seiko watches. This is the first that Seiko has disappointed me. Great price, but the day date function is inept at best. It changes whenever it feels like. I have reset every morning and often by mid day it's tomorrow. I am a avid watch buyer and sadly for the first time Seiko has let me down. So if you're not a fanatic about watches, it's a handsome watch. Just make sure you know what day it is and give it a shot. Maybe you'll get one that works.
