Was a little bit smaller than I expected,but seems to have plenty of information and some lovely pictures.Good as an introduction to castles,palaces and stately homes.

Small book. . But good quality and good illustrations

First, the format of the book is less than an A4 size.Second, most of the subjects are discussed on a single page each.You can imagine the size of the pictures, the number of pictures and the details you will get on each castles or places.It reads like a pocket guide, like something you will carry around when you travel to these places to give you an introduction.It was not a format I was expecting from Lorenz Books. I expected more extensive coverage and more lavish illustrations. I guess next time I won't buy a book if there is no preview.
