I first enjoyed this wonderful coffee while visiting Big Island
I first enjoyed this wonderful coffee while visiting Big Island, and I had to bring some back with me to prolong the magic. I was delighted to find it on Amazon, particularly the ground French roast, and avoid the shipping costs of buying from the plantation.Kona coffee is expensive because it is grown and prepared under US labor standards. I am generally supportive of free trade treaties, but I prefer to buy American whenever I can. Buying American for coffee means buying Kona coffee. It also happens to be outstanding coffee, so I get excellence in taste along with my political convictions.I usually drink this black, and like other Black treasures native to Hawaii, such as Barack Obama, this coffee is strong, bold, and entirely without bitterness. I am not a fan of lighter roasts, so I can not comment on how they taste.

Great aroma, texture; as you would expect from Kona coffee
I have tried a few brands of Kona coffee and so far I like this brand the most. It has a great flavor and aroma with a smooth texture. The acidity and bitterness is moderate, just as I expected from Kona coffee. I brew my coffee with a French press for anyone wondering. One of the best things about Kona coffee is that it's made in America so all the money supports farms and workers in the good ol' USA!

Great product. Not so great shipping.
Love the coffee. It’s delicious. However, this last bag I purchased arrived on my doorstep as simply the bag of coffee with a mailing label slapped on it. No box. No packaging to protect the product from getting broken on its way to me - and absolutely everybody who encountered it knew exactly what I was purchasing. I’d really prefer that my purchases be boxed or bagged before a mailing address is applied.

Very Good but Also Very Expensive
I am a coffee drinker. Not a coffee snob but definitely know what types and brands I like.I generally buy the name brand darker roast varieties (Starbucks, Peet's) when it goes on sale. I buy ground coffee and do not grind my beans, nor do I buy unroasted beans and roast them myself. Don't have a fancy pants coffee machine. Just a simple coffee maker and paper filters with pre-ground coffee to make a cup fast for my daily commute. Now during the corona virus quarantine I thought it might be nice to try something different and a bit more expensive. Recalling a trip to Hawaii years ago and absolutely loving the resort breakfast coffee, out I went in search of a 100% Kona dark roast. My expectations for this coffee are admittantly very high, as I paid about 5x what I normally pay for coffee. It arrived fine with a very long expiry date, no issues there. For me (my equipment and taste preference), this made a good cup of coffee. Very good in fact. Is it 5x as good as the regular stuff? IMO no way.Nice to try something different and retaste a bit of that old Hawaii trip but it's back to the "normal" stuff for me.Edit:. I'll admit, this is a guilty pleasure. It went on sale and I bought it again 🤪

Flavor
Kona coffee is the very best tasting coffee around. It arrived from Hawaii in a timely, efficient manner and have been enjoying it since. The only drawback is the cost if you are willing to pay for the quality of the product.

Excellent Roaster
This is top shelf Kona, straight from the Island. They roast it and also grind it if you need them to, then immediately ship it out to you. It arrives pretty fast & fresh.
