Awesome read!!!
I found this series from a long forgotten podcast. Honestly it's been a shining light in my life at the moment. Love the mix of intrigue, action, character development and of course comedy! This one was a nail biter and I loved every minute, if your reading this you should stop and go read this series instead!

psychologically gripping
I haven’t written an actual summation of a story in a long time. This book was so gripping I simply had to. Have read all in the series this is tied for is simply the best one so far. So absolutely gripping. At times I was unsure if I wanted to keep reading. The reality of what happens to the mind in time of war. The reality of what occurs. To be drawn down that hole into the darkness. It is a dark place. Just when things seem to be going black the book picks up and lightens and takes the weight off and is exciting and daunting. Right up into the last pages the plot twists more times than a jigsaw puzzle. Truly an amazing series. I am not sure I have read something of its equal I can compare it to. A truly epic journey of war and battle that is some of the most realistic fantasy I could imagine. A truly epic journey into the soul and the choices that are made in the worst moments.

The dark, chaotic comedy continues
This seventh tome continues Carl and Donut's epic adventure through Dungeon Crawler Earth. From start through the end of the epilogue, Matt Dinniman adeptly weaves dozens of characters' stories, intertwining fairly adult humor and pop culture. This book could only get nerdier if they started using differential equations! As long as this series remains available to read, I will strongly recommend it to those who appreciate this writing style and gamesmanship. It's a very unique story and consistently enjoyable throughout the entire series.I will eagerly wait for number eight...

G-ddammit Donut!
So if you are already on book 7 then you know this series already. It's rare when a book series gets better and better. And when I say better, it grows in scope, pathos, drama, and story. While some of the first few books focus more on the comedy and had a lot of drama in the background, Matt somehow flips the script in the later books and creates drama rich stories with a lot of comedy interspersed in the narrative. While this might not have the "Hard sci-fi" moniker of a classic space opera like The Expanse books or Children of Time series, it still somehow seems to be just as large in scope than the premise has any right to be. The characters are nuanced and fully fleshed out and you are rooting for all the "crawlers" and even some of the aliens. If you are not adverse to audiobooks, I recommend this as the narrator is one of the greatest narrators I have ever had the pleasure to listen to as he understand the personality of all the characters and bring them alive and in your ear. While there is a possibility of a TV series at one point, the audiobooks will be the closest you can get to that right now. But if not, then you will still get great pleasure in reading the adventures of a man in boxers and his cat create havoc and save as many lives as they can.

not amazing, but fun like the others
It’s hard not being able to put decimals when grading. This book is not as good as the previous one, but it’s not a 3/5 either. While the story is simple enough to follow and the action packed, I didn’t have the same interest as the previous books. I think it was due to the nature of the floor - too much happening, too many points of interest.Frankly, this story is no more just Carl & donut, it’s not just their adventure. It has transcended into something more, encompassing the dreams and goals of many more, involving the whole universe. While it raises the scope and the bar, we loose focus on our protagonists a bit.The problem is that the way the pacing is set, we are on like 14-16 books for conclusion, so whatever happens here seems not too important. We learn little of the main players and the power struggle in the universe, you might wonder a bit how the universe can be more affected by one crawl and that’s it. There is some minor escalation on who/what is affected and what’s at stake and that is it. Leveling and items is less important - now that we have numerous abilities and spells it’s hard to keep track. There are plenty of new characters but they don’t get enough time to be interesting - even the ones we know about - Katia, Psammanthe get less actual part when you have that numerous characters.I am not sure there is much more to say here - after everyone having read 6+ books of Carl you kinda know what to expect. The book is engaging but for me, it was not as if I couldn’t stop. Maybe it’s reasonable fatigue after reading all 7 books one after the other, maybe not. Anyway, if you are to stop this series I don’t think this is the book to do it!

Amazing read
These books are not my normal genre. Just a few chapters in i was hooked. There is a lot of action and I am pretty sure the authors sense of humor is severely warped. I love it.Throughout the series there is a lot of death, a ton of humor. The best part is the relationship between Carl and Donut. Throughout all of this carnage there is love, friendships and intrigue. This is without a doubt the lord of their gs of this genre !LONG LIVE FREDDIE!

Amazing.
I haven't had a book series grab me like this in a long time. I read all seven books in two weeks. This series is dark and serious it's funny and emotional. The characters are all broken and still fighting. I can't wait to see who is still around for the next floor. For this book and the last I've been worried about the Donut and Katia situation that had to resolve itself in this book. I loved how that came out. Another chance for the crawlers to stick it to the Aliens that came to Earth for fun. It's sad that this might be the last time we see Katia. If it is her ending is perfect. I can't wait for floor twelve now to see Juice box again.I could go on and on about this series and what makes it great. Like the often hilarious by play between Carl and Donut and how they are keeping each other from breaking. Or Samantha and her whole bag of crazy.Sufficient to say I absolutely cannot wait for the next book.
