Great idea. My integrated LED porch lantern went out and a similar new replacement was going cost $$. This retrofit unit was easy for me to install, I just disassembled the fixture. drilled a few holes to mount it, connected the wires and reassembled the fixture. Works like a charm. I'll use these in the future for personal and professional (I'm a Handyman) repairs

We purchased 2 of these to replace integrated LED lights that had gone out on some exterior lights after just a year of use. These were easy to install, brighter than what was there before, and have been working great so far.

This LED unit puts out a ton of light... in fact I believe more lumens than it's rating. The module does generate a lot of heat and I was afraid to use it in an enclosed light fixture. So I ended up not using it, but it seems to be well manufactured, just not for my fixture.

Exactly what I had been looking for to retrofit some 50 year old outside light fixtures. Very bright, solidly made, with prompt delivery.Designed to fit most existing fixtures or in my case over an electrical box.

Worked for a few minutes when I connected a plug wire to the leads, just to test. Upon disconnecting the power wire, the black wire disconnected from the printed circuit board. Cheap solder job and the two power wires should be siliconed through the center hole to secure the wires better to the board.Other than that, it was bright and color correct while it worked. Sadly disappointed.UPDATE: I took the liberty of soldering the power wire back to printed circuit board and silicone coated the entire point of connection of both the neutral and power wires to the board. Has held up well and the light was installed into an outdoor light fixture. No issues yet.

I used it to retro fit a four mini bulb in amp fixture with a center rod for the leaded globe. Plenty of room between the rod and rim for the fixture and space for at least two more if I had the need for additional lumens

Good light! It is not plug and play, you will need wire nuts or some sort of butt connector to connect the wiring (two wires). Additionally, for my application (ceiling fan) the screw holes didnt match up so I had to use double sided tape to work. The pro about this light is that it IS dimmable, at least for me it works.

This Led get extremely hot , Hot enough to where you cannot hold it ,when it is energized.This bothers me , The transformer and rectifier are all embodied in the fixture ,and this causes the heat dissipation. If you like fires , go for it!
