This is a review of the Inkerma 2-in-1 Laser Tape Measure, selling on Amazon for £25.99.Here we have a sturdy and high quality 5m tape measure with a built in 40m range laser measure, measuring in metric or imperial. You just point it at your target and it measures accurately - it says +/-2mm up to 10m, then a bit more after that. The bright display shows the current measurement and the previous one, which is useful. The screen is on the side so may not be that easy to see, depending on position.In my testing, it certainly seemed very accurate, at least for shorter distances.One thing that I found confusing at first is that the tape measure measures from the front of the housing where it comes out whereas the laser measure measures from the back. So if you measure something with the tape and then take a laser reading it will be 7.5 cm further. I guess this is so, say you wanted to measure the distance between two walls, you could hold the measure against one wall and it would measure all the way between them.A couple of small niggles. Firstly the tape - like every other measure I have ever used, the right angled bit at the front that you hook onto things wobbles back and forward so if you hook it onto something and measure, you will be 1-2mm out. Why can't someone make a measure where this thing is attached properly?Secondly, it comes supplied with a wrist strap (useful so you don't drop and break the laser) which attaches round a lug set unto the top corner of the housing. However, if you stick one end in it never comes out again so there is no way to actually loop it round. I did write to support about this but, after 48 hours they have not replied, which in itself doesn't bode well. It does also have an inbuilt belt clip.Anyway, assuming it keeps working it seems like good value. A decent quality tape measure will probably cost you £10 and the convenience of a laser has to be worth an extra £16 I reckon. This 2-in-1 laser tape measure saves me from having to carry around a separate laser measurement meter.Integrated into the tape measure body, which makes it slightly thicker, the laser adds another method as well as a double checking feature.I like:– the tape measure's self locking mechanism which does away with a separate lever– the laser’s simplicity, the choice of metric and imperial units and the auto shut downSince the laser sensor is located at the rear of the housing, a 7.5 cm compensation needs to be considered when comparing to the tape measure value.However, the laser method is convenient for taking quick wall to wall measurement and difficult to access areas.The laser measurement system and LCD screen are powered by replaceable AAA batteries which were generously included in the kit.Since this 2-in-1 laser tape measure tool does not differ too much in size, it is now my new go-to measurement tool.As long as it is treated carefully, this laser tape measure should serve well for a while.

Very solid, feels like a Nokia, very solid, the Lazer is very accurate and being able to switch into different measurements is also very nice, saves your last measurement as well so you can do 2 at once which is a nice touch, already recommended to friends

This dual-mode measure is a really good idea. As well as a conventional, mechanical tape measure, it doubles up as a laser distance measure.The unit is not tiny, but is still easy enough to carry around. The manual tape measure feels sturdy, and it has the usual "lock" to help with single-person use. The retraction mechanism is smooth and works well. I've extended against my Stanley FatMax measure - and it is exactly the same (to my eyes).The laser measure is great for either longer distances, or awkward spaces, or to make life easier if you are working alone. Again, checking against the Stanley measure the distance measured by the laser tallies up pretty much exactly. The display is not the biggest, but is bright and easy to see. There are side controls to switch the laser measure on/off, and to change the units between Imperial and metric.I'm surprised I haven't seen something like this before - it's a great idea and will be staying in the tool box. Batteries are included - and Duracell - nothing not to like with this.

This is a nice upgrade for most of the people in your life that do DIY on a regular basis. I found the laser a little confusing to use but it's possible to work it out and obviously it's going to be much more useful if you measure a lot of things. You'd get used to it.Other than the laser, the tape measure itself is chunky and very good quality. It's nice and stiff so it extends well and it retracts with a lot of force. Even if you aren't using the laser often, it's a good quality measure.

This device could be used just as a regular tape measure for the distances of up to 16 feet or 5M using the tape measure.The device also features laser tape measure, which allows measuring much longer distances at a press of a button.You can measure the distance in inches, feet and metres.I have tested the laser tape measure, it was able to measure the distance for up to 41m, after which the laser is barely noticeable and the device gives “Error 15” message.I really loved the convenience of measuring the distance without having to move from my set point.

Nice size and weight. Laser and digital measurement is amazing. And it actually holds the tape measure in place.

This is an unique idea to blend a measuring tape with the laser measure. I often go to construction sites, and have to take measurements of spaces. I usually alternate between a tape measure and a separate laser tool, all while having a notepad to jot down the measurements. This can really help to streamline this process, as I don't have to switch between tools.The tape uses a white background, and it is fairly legible. The tape itself is not that strong. There is quite a lot of flex if it is just floating in the air. During my test, the furthest it will go before breaking is 6’-0”. The tape has auto hold, so you have to hold the green button at the top to recoil. The button is located in a great place, as the thumb naturally hovers over it while holding. The recoil speed is about typical for a tape, as there wasn’t much danger to it. The device is much larger than most, and thus the hand is moved further away from potential harm.For a tape with batteries, lasers, and electronics, it is actually quite light. This could be down to the plastic casing, but you couldn’t really tell this has a laser measure, except for the screen at the side.The screen being on the left side means this is more geared for the right handed user. Holding this with the left hand covers the screen, and the button on the left is a bit harder to push.The laser portion of this device is very easy to use. There is one button to push to turn on the laser. Push that again, and the measurement will come out. There is a second button to change the units of the measure. It would have been nice if the device could change where the measurement starts from. At this time, the device only starts measuring from the back of the tape. With this being a tape as well, I think being able to measure from the front, similar to the manual tape, would have been a nice feature to double check your measurements.The only minor issue I have with this tool is the shape of the tape. It is fairly standard for a measuring tape, but the rounded corner at the back does not help when trying to place this against a surface. Having a more angular design; a built in digital level; or even a bubble level would have been useful and to ensure the laser is straight.Overall though, I am really happy and excited about this product. It is the perfect item for my line of work, and will really help reduce the amount of tools I need at one time. The tape feels robust, and the laser tool is easy to use.Five stars.

Ruban à mesurer laser et manuel utile et apparemment bien fait.Le laser est de 40 m, le ruban à mesurer est de 5 m.Livré bien emballé et avec une paire de piles Duracel et une lanière.Vraiment pratique pour commencer une ligne droite avec le ruban manuel, puis maintenir cette ligne sur une distance de 40 m.Vraiment satisfait de l'unité - facile et très intuitive à utiliser - je n'ai pas du tout eu besoin d'utiliser le manuel.Un étui de rangement pour cela aurait été bien, mais la boîte dans laquelle il est arrivé est suffisamment robuste pour fonctionner comme rangement.

He cogido este flexómetro con medidor láser porque en la obra llevo flexómetro y medidor láser y con este tengo un 2x1. Me ha gustado mucho, aunque el tamaño es algo grande.Llega en una caja de cartón, perfectamente protegido con goma espuma, incluye 2*AAA Duracell, cinta para colgar en la muñeca y manual de instrucciones que incluye el español, todo PERFECTO.El flexómetro es de 5 metros con centímetros y pulgadas, al contrario que los habituales, con este, extraes la cinta métrica y se mantiene fija, sin cerrarse, se recoge cuando pulsas el botón, es muy cómodo, porque normalmente es al contrario y tienen que andar acertando con el botón para bloquearlo, este sistema me gusta mucho más que el otro.El medidor láser está bien calibrado, pero tiene una pega, creo que no tiene la opción de cambiar el punto desde hace la medición, que es la parte trasera del flexómetro, normalmente, los medidores láser pueden cambiar entre medir con la parte trasera del medidor o la parte frontal, en este caso no lo tiene o al menos yo no lo he encontrado ni en la configuración de pantalla ni en las instrucciones, creo que sólo se tiene en cuenta el punto trasero.Otra pequeña pega es que, el orificio para meter la cuerdita de la cinta de muñeca, es muy complicado de meter, creo que está abierto por dentro y cuando metes la cuerdita, no gira en el interior, sino que se mete dentro de la carcasa, me ha costado mucho y al final he acabado metiendo un alambre fino.Por lo demás ..... PERFECTO, robusto, sobrio y útil. En cuanto al precio, muy ajustado, no supera los 20€, un precio más que razonable.Espero haberos ayudado. GRACIAS por leer esta reseña.
