Exciting at first, then predictable
Started off really intersting - it took me a while to figure out who Yarrow actually was, but after Lark showed up, things got pretty predictable.I don't like how the author plays the main characters two love interests off of each other so heavily. It's frustrating and frankly pretty boring. Yeah, I get it, it's YA fiction - but isn't the fate of the world at stake, too?! Plus Lark is so much nicer than Lachlan, who is your typical "mysterious" male love interest. Blah.

LOVED IT
So I read the first book in 6th grade on a trip and I read it in about 2 and a half hours whenever I had free timeWhich wasn’t often but I was done by the end of the 2 night 3 day trip. I bought this one for a book response in 8th grade now and procrastinated or had other things to do and it’s due tomorrow and I hadn’t started the book at all in 6 hours I did another homework assignment went out for dinner and various other things preventing me from reading however I read the book and putting it down whenever I had to was HARD it is phenomenal the way it is worded how Yarrow meets Lark how Yarrow acts with Pearl and Lark how characters interact how it ties back to the first book it’s a brilliant story and I can’t wait to read the third book

I would highly recommend this book
The more you read this book, the harder it is to put it down. Joey's vision for this series is so incredible, and I'm so glad he was able to continue on with it in Elites of Eden. If you're looking for a good book to read, I would highly recommend this one, no matter what your age is!

Good read
I loved book 1, but had trouble getting into book 2. I hated the character of Yarrow, but after reading on I accepted it a little more. I did enjoy the book more once the storyline started rolling. I will be waiting to read book 3.

Good second book. Predictable but decent flow. Looking forward to the conclusion. I don't have eight more words for this review:)

just as new
bought this book second-hand. thought it would come with edges with clear signs of being used. however, I was pretty amazed it was just as new as from a library.in terms of the book, I read the first part of the novel and couldn't put the book aside. it was very engaging and took me to another world. really love the story. so was curious as to what happened next
