Truly phenomenal
When I started the game I really struggled and thought I would never grasp the combat. But once I learnt to time my deflects and counters you really do appreciate how amazing the combat is. Where as from the souls series and Bloodborne I found myself endlessly dodging waiting for that moment to strike, Sekiro I find I can stand toe to toe with all enemies, which can make for some quite epic battles. Additionally it teaches you not to spam block, as spamming can lead to your posture being broken and being sliced down in a few hits. The game itself is visually stunning and I found myself sometimes standing and just looking around or just taking it all in while grappling around. Additionally the bosses visual move sets and look are something to behold too.FromSoftware have done a wonderful job with this game, so much so I actually went and completed all the achievements on xbox. I enjoyed it that much I had to go in to ng+ and I ended up enjoying it even more.If you put the time in to learn the combat and mechanics you will absolutely love this game.

Amazing and frustrating in equal measures
Edit to the below. I bought it again on sale and have now completed 3 times. I got good as it were. Upped to 5 stars. Careful planning it turns out, was more important than skill...The game is beautiful in every way. Design, aesthetics, gore, fluidity and the deep sense of accomplishment. For me as a gamer it just took the boss difficulties too high in latter stages. At this point on a DS/BB game you might grind but not so here. No stats or levels just upgrades to the arm. So if you can’t do it (namely split frame parrying) you really can’t do it. People will tell you to get good but they can swivel, I play games for enjoyment, escape and challenge, not pain, frustration and suffering. So I got 60% through then sold it. Sad because the game is so beautifully made, unique and well executed. I think they will learn for the next one, well I blooming hope so! Mix this new Sekiro freedom and agility with the DS levelling formula and tone the latter bosses down just a tickle... well that would be a treat.

Worthy game to purchase and play
The price of the game at 29.99 is definitely worthy. This will not go down any lower as Argos had it at that price but increased it recently. If you are into games like Dark Souls or Bloodborne, all developed by From Software, then you will like Sekiro. It is based on the Sengoku period of Japan. The visuals are great . The game is quite difficult though and requires skill to get through it. I am still early on and my advice would be to learn how to counter and buy as many skills as possible by grinding kills. Makes it much easier. Be prepared to die quite a lot.

An Unforgiving Masterpeice
A lot of discussion around this game has revolved around it's difficulty. And while it does present the sort of challenge you'd expect from From Software, there is far more to Sekiro than "git gud". For starters, the developers have created a gorgeous world for us to traverse. Although its more real-world take lacks the variety of areas seen in Dark Souls or Bloodborne, we still get to clamber through blood-soaked battlefields, burning villages, lush forests, steep mountain passes and much more. The sound design is also incredibly satisfying. The music is once again superb, hitting that sweet spot between exhilarating and sublime; and the sound of swords clashing together when you hit that critical deflect never fails to excite. And this brings us to the combat. It's hard. You will die, and die, and die again until you're able to learn timings to hit every deflect and learn when to dodge or jump. With an array of tools at your disposal, there is always going to be a strategy that works for you. And when you find it, the combat flows together seamlessly. Then you get to a boss and have to learn this all over again.Arguably From Software's best game to date, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is the kind of ruthless challenge and thoughtful outing you'd expect from the developer that never loses its edge.

Harsh but Fair (Mostly)
Not one for the faint hearted, this game takes patience, quick reactions and a lot of trial and error, but I did thoroughly enjoy playing it. Not only are the mechanics themselves great, but add onto that an intriguing story, stunning landscapes and some intense boss fights, and you get an experience not to be missed for players who enjoy hard-as-nails games. My only problem with the game itself was the camera tracking, as in some boss fights within confined spaces it became stuck, losing the enemy I was fighting and causing me to take damage, which can get really annoying when it’s not you but the game that’s at fault. However this only happened in a few specific settings, and did not affect the majority of the game.Overall I still think Sekiro is a fantastic experience, and if you’re up for the challenge is definitely worth a play through.

This game is hard but addictive.
In this game, you will die a lot more than twice, yet it is so good that it’s fun to just keep on trying again and again. Btw, be aware stealth is a big part of the game. I love it.

Buen juego a buen precio
