Quick-Connect for Pressure Washer & Jumper Hose
Quick-Connect Adapters are a life saver. They let you easily swap to different hoses & attachments. For this specific use case, I have the following setup: 1. Electric pressure washer > 2. Jumper Hose > 3. (2) Hose Reel(s) > 4. 50 & 100 foot hose (depending on which reel) > 5. Pressure Washer Gun or Wand > 6. Pressure washer nozzle. In each of these connections, I try to put on quick-connects because in this instance, I have two different hose reels, one with 50 foot hose, and another with 100 depending on my use case. This 3/8" quick-connect attaches to the electric pressure washer outlet pipe which is male threaded, and I have a 3/8" female threaded to male 3/8" quick connect on a jumper hose to each hose reel.If not for this adapter, I would have to unscrew and screw on the different jumper hose each time. Instead, you just pop back the coupler, and can easily swap between either hose.Tips:- Be sure to have the supply water off and unit off when doing this.- When screwing on anything you want to be water-tight, always wrap with teflon tape. For the 'cheaper' white tape, I wrap at least 5-6 times. For thicker tape, usually 2-3 wraps works. Always wrap in the direction of the threads, so it doesn't try to go against the thread when installing.- Be sure to check for leaks afterwards. I use a little aluminum foil and check for water afterwards. You never want water to be coming out of fittings so if it is leaking in any way, you may need more teflon tape (if on the threads) or a new rubber washer, if leaking from inside the connection.- Check for replacement O-Rings at least yearly. These seals can start to crack after some time, and they are very easy and cheap to replace to help prevent against leaks.- When threading on, just go hand tight. The telfon tape helps seal things, you don't need a wrench or pliers to put this on. Overtightening can break the connectors and cause a leak.

Worked great to connect my pressure washer hose
I acquired a nice, Karacher yellow power washer with a Honda GCG160 engine on it that was being thrown out on the curb. After a very quick cleaning, the Honda engine was alive! I initially though there was no way the pump would be good, and had plans to remove the Honda engine off the pressure washer. I did 'try' the pressure washer with a borrowed hose and wand from my friend. Low and be hold it worked great! I wanted to get a hose and wand for mine, but didn't want to pay much for it not knowing how good the pressure washer was. I found a second pressure washer (Ryobi with Subaru engine) for sale with a bad pump, but all accessories and good Subaru engine for only $50. I did recoop my $50 by selling the engine to someone who needed it for a go kart. But, when I got home I realized the Ryobi used all quick connections. After a little Googling and searching the web I found this adapter. It works perfect to adapt my quick connect hose and wand; to the standard male threads of the Karacher pump. No leaks at all. I did use some Monster PTFE tape on the threads; and after winterizing the pump, I took the adapter off so it would not seize. Exactly what I needed, hope this review helps someone in a similar situation. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to find this at a local hardware store.

Installed on Karcher perfectly
Installed on Karcher K5 2,100PSI perfectly. No more proprietary fittings from Karcher. A nice 3/8" quick disconnect. Love it.No leak. Works fine. No issues. No need to use tapes. Just hook it directly. You might need pliers to really tighten it all the way.Now I can store the machine easily without the 100ft hose wrapped on it,or waste time screwing, and un-screwing. It's just a breeze. Can't say about durability. But it's working.I highly recommend removing this adapter every couple of months,to clean the calcium deposits. My old adapter was glued to the outlet, had to cut it with a saw.
