A Strong growing variety of Purple French bean that can be harvested over a long period. Sow the seeds directly outside From May - June in rows approx 12 " apart. Cover the seeds lightly with soil and water them in. These plants will require support as they grow such as bean netting. To prolong the harvest crop the plants regularly. A fortnightly feed with a tomato type fertiliser will help to make better crops. Keep well watered in dry weather.

Climbing beans
Germination just OK not great

The best tasting of runner beans
Germination only 50% - perhaps my fault, but poorer than in previous years for the same variety

Produces good crops.
I got a bumper crop. So much so that I left many on the plants until they started drying off. I will be using the dried beans in stews. The freezer has quite a few bags of prepped frozen bean ready for winter.

so looking good.
Delivered quickly and well packaged. Put straight in the ground and all the seeds planted have sprouted, so looking good.
