Renaissance Dress Costume 100% Cotton Peasant Chemise Pirate Wench Medieval Boho

My mom got me this dress for my birthday. It nails the peasant renaissance woman/cottagecore vibes I'm going for. I love this dress so much. I am usually a size 8 or 10--I'm 5'9 and 140 pounds. This fits me perfectly. It also has room to stretch. I got white, but it really isn't see through. I think it's definitely worth it. I was concerned it was meant as only like an undergarment for another dress or cosplay, but it is a standalone piece. I love it so much. I want to fall in love while wearing this dress.

I love this dress. I wasn’t sure about how a one size item would fit, but the waist is very flattering, I can walk easily in it and the top fits great. I can tell there is room for someone with a larger bust to wear if comfortably. I really wanted something made out of cotton so it would be more period appropriate. I did try one of the polyester blend items that are on Amazon but this one looked so much better. I’m very excited to wear it as the base layer for my Halloween costume. It is fairly sheer below the slip, and the slip is short, so you need to wear a skirt over it.

For the price, this is a pretty good chemise dress. I bought it to wear when working from home and to use as an under-layer for winter. Under a long skirt, it helps keep everything a little cozier and warmer. Peeking out from a cardigan on top, it gives a very cute feminine look. However, it's really obvious that they cut corners on the lining to save money. The lining barely covers your bum and since the fabric is pretty sheer, you can see a big dividing line where it ends. It bunches up when you sit down and becomes rather pointless. I'm going to cut it out and wear this with a petticoat if I'm using it as my main garment. I got the XL, which is plenty stretchy, but I might remove one or two of the underbust elastic lines because they come up over my bust unless I pull it down and show off more cleavage than I'm personally comfortable with.

I have bought two of these dresses so far and wear them both weekly! The black one came in perfect and has been very sturdy (my boys are forever hanging on my skirts). The red one was not as sturdy sadly and my youngest tore 3 separate holes on the seams of the skirt the first wear trying to hide from a waving stranger 🥲 it was a basic fix, but I wish it were a bit more reinforced on the seams. I’m 4’11 and it’s a bit too long but I wear platform docs and skirt hikes so it isn’t hard to walk in. Without, I’d definitely not be able to. Honestly, I could probably lose the bottom panel of the skirt and be fine length wise.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: I bought this dress after having bought another one on Amazon and having it feel like an elastic riddled shower liner. So seeing as this one was a 100% cotton and had decent reviews I thought it was a safe choice... I was wrong....For starters the color is faded looking, it feels like a cheap tissue paper fabric and is incredibly hot. I put it on with a tank top underneath for like 5 minutes and I was getting hot and it just does not fit the way It should either, both probably due to the fact that it's a cheap material. 0/10 would not recommend..

I was really surprised by this dress- it's very pretty and flattering on a plump curvy mama. I specifically chose this dress because it looked easy to breast feed in with the tie in front and it worked out great. My breasts looked fab, waist was narrower then flowed into a tiered full skirt, extra fabric on the inside was long enough to cover my bottom so I didn't need to wear a slip. Light and airy. Surprised that it didn't fall apart on me when I washed it (gentle, cold, hung to dry). I got lots of compliments. I'm really short so had to hem this. I'm 180 lbs, 38C bust, 40 inch waist, 4' 11 and went with the xxL

It's a cute dress for a costume. It is VERY see through, so it should be an underdress. And there is not much fullness to the skirt. I'm a size 16, 38D bust and I ordered the XL it fit pretty well, just a tiny bit tight on the arms. As a whole I think it is pretty good for the price
