I love the way this looks but they are heave and kind of uncomfortable to handle. Bought this as gift and not sure how I feel about it , because I love the way it looks and not sure how usable they are . Definitely can't be left submerged in water and needs more care than plastic or metal

BLUF: I do not recommend as a gift for others.I have had these for over a year n half and loved cooking with them. They are beautiful and unique. The down side to them is they are wood. Like most things wooden and subjected to liquid they will break down over time. Since these are cooking utensils, they are subject to being liquid often and so I expected to see chipping.Thankfully the utensils haven't chipped in huge places, I can sand the chipped spots down and still use them. These are not plastic or metal and so buy these knowing that will you need to replace them OR fix them yourself at some point.I don't know if I would give them as a gift to a person who cooks often, it would be like giving a gift I KNOW will break w/in 2yrs. LOL. Kind of a terrible gift.Only buy these IF you don't mind sanding down the chips that WILL affect this utensil set.

The Exotic Pakkawood 6-Piece Kitchen Utensil Set is a great addition to my cooking utensils. I like the sturdiness of them. And I also use them with pots and pans that I do not use metal utensils with. They are strong, sturdy and add a touch of color to my kitchen. I highly recommend them.
