This appears to be a sturdy umbrella. I have no trouble opening or closing it. It is large enough for two. I have two problems with it. First of all, the double fabric (which I've never seen before and wasn't expecting) makes it bulky. Secondly, it's much heavier than I would have liked. It's not designed to carry along in case of rain because of its size and weight. I'm not sure whether to keep it or not. With so many positive reviews I thought it would be perfect.

An umbrella is a good quality overall, a bit wobbly but sturdy in general, and comfortable to grip. But it's definitely for someone on a short side. I'm 6'2" and it basically covers only my upper body and my head. My hands below elbows and my pants are completely wet, so this umbrella is completely useless to me. I thought 46" is enough but it looks like I need at least 60 or something. So if you are a short person - get it, if you are 6' or taller - avoid it.

Really nice, high-quality umbrella. The double layers of fabric make it feel very sturdy and I love the sky blue underside. A bit stiff to retract which could be problematic if you're hands are weaker than average. I have no problems opening or closing it, but my elderly mother would find it difficult. Also, due to the double layers of fabric, it's quite bulky even when fully closed. Fits in my large purses but would not fit in my medium sized handbags.

I used this umbrella daily for about a week while traveling to NYC recently. Rain wasnt too heavy, but it was pretty windy. Umbrella held up well and I had no issues with opening or closing it. Like others have mentioned it was a bit bulkier than I expected, but not too bad. I was hoping it would be a little wider, but I was able to cover myself and my child/daughter just fine. Hopefully this umbrella lasts for a while.

OMG I love this umbrella!It is bigger than a regular "supermarket" umbrella (a little longer and wider) but still super portable. You can feel it is very well built, and colors are beautiful! You can put it in your backpack and you don't ave to worry about it getting smashed.Buy it! It is worth every penny

We’ve had a ton of rain this summer and my old umbrella finally flipped, so I looked to Amazon for a replacement. I haven’t actually used this umbrella yet, but it seems to be of good quality. The closed size is perfect for my everyday tote bag, the open size is a lot larger than I anticipated, and I like the purple accent. I can’t wait to test it out...

I really like it except for one thing - when not in use it is almost impossible to get it wrapped tight enough to get the ribbon around it. So it sits in my car floppy. The ribbon needs to be longer

After I posted a negative review about this umbrella not closing properly, the company contacted me with an offer for a replacement in hopes that I would change my review. I appreciated the offer and ordered the new umbrella. I have not had the same problems with this one; I believe the main shaft of the other was bent. It is still requires more strength to close than I would like, but perhaps this is the price you pay for such a sturdy umbrella. I was recently caught in a strong storm, and although the wind blew the umbrella inside out, it regained its shape without apparent damage. I do believe this is a high-quality umbrella; the first one I received had just been damaged.
