Great light
Great edc light I would say for me anyway it’s jst about the perfect size edc light I would not wanna go any bigger but it’s right in that sweet spot yea there is smaller lights w similar/ better specs but ace beam did a good job w these rider series of lights you push the tail switch and it comes on nothing to much or to fancy and it has 4 diff brightness setting that you jst keep clicking and they jst keep switching sometimes things jst need to be simple. And they did it good w this one and it comes w a rechargeable 14500 920mah 3.7v battery and what that basically is is a souped up aa battery that uses a usb-c to charge it up witch is great because it gives you better performance than a reg aa. But you could still use a aa if you wanted or needed to. Enough said great 🔦.

Lots to like, quality build...
I just got this unique flashlight yesterday and have some comments, both positive and neutral (hhhmmm!) about it.First of all, this is a very nicely made light, I like the steel casing around the central aluminum body. and the overall high quality of construction. The steel body serves as a good heat sink, especially at the highest setting. In this way, the light can be used for much longer than some similar lights, (which can get hot enough to burn clothing), if accidentally placed in a pocket. Another good feature is that the switch can be positioned so as to extend the light providing a protective cover over the switch. Doing this makes it much less likely that the light can be accidentally activated. When the light is "On" in any of the 4 lighting steps, the steel barrel of the light can be extended 3/8", allowing the light to be placed pointing up for 'room lighting' i.e. in 'tail stand' mode. This is also the way that the bulb assembly can be unscrewed to allow the battery to slide out for recharging. The instructions do not make clear that recharging this light requires the battery to be removed at which time the USB-"C" connector is revealed on the side of the battery...this is where the charging cord is attached. This is unconventional, but it is one of the ways that the light can be made water resistant...(IPX8). I'm not sure if a replacement battery is available from the company.(EDIT..a search of Google found a listing for this battery. Look for " 920mAh USB-C" and you should find a replacement for about $13.00) I'm sure it would be a LONG time before anyone would reach "End Of Life" with the included battery. The 4 steps of lighting brightness cover a wide range, the low end being just enough to find one's way around a darkened room or tent. The brightest setting is extremely bright with a fully spread beam, able to light up a large room...or temporarily blind an unsuspecting user ...ask me how I know..!! It also has the 'standard' SOS setting....wonder how many times this common feature has been activated in a real-life situation...? The steps of brightness also have 'memory mode' allowing the user to return to the last used setting with a single click....simple and quick. The dual sided clip is well made and works great...a good range of sizing and easy to clip/unclip..nice!Now...the room for improvement part... First of all, the User Guide shipped with the light..IF it can even be called that, is close to useless. In large part because the print is so tiny..I'm thinking it must be just 1 'point' in size....impossible to read without some visual aid. This "Manual" that is included is on a tiny piece of paper that measures 4" X 3"..and that is then folded in half..! I've had to use a very strong desk lamp and a strong magnifier in order to see the writing. For the premium price of this light, I'd think they could afford something that could be read by a person with 20-20 vision...! But...I'm wrong..!Due to the steel casing around the aluminum core of the light itself, this light is noticeably heavier than other similar lights, so if your goal is weight savings, this might not suit those needs. In the advertising for this light, much is made of the "fidget" feature...and that 'ability' is part of the lock/unlock portion of the light. It's hard for me to imagine that anyone can get any 'mental relief' out of activating the lock/unlock over and over...unless your goal is to drive nearby people to distraction...! However, this option is there for your amazement/amusement....click away...!Finally, this is a very nicely manufactured light, with some unique features. Is it worth the premium price? Depends on your needs, there are less expensive lights that can equal the light output, I don't think there are many that equal the build quality of this light. "You pays your money and you takes your choice!

Pretty sweet light
Bought this because I wanted a blue edc light to match my knife. I took the outer “fidget” shell off because it’s kinda pointless. The light itself is easy to use, looks great, has solid build quality and is the perfect edc size. Gets very bright if needed, is rechargeable or can take a AA battery. One of the best small lights for the price imo.

Super bright, super convenient
Great everyday carry. Tons of light when you need it. I like the usb-c charging on the batteries, and the fact you could use a AA in a pinch is a plus. Has a nice pocket clip that can be used on the brim of a hat for a headlamp. I really like the super low power 5 lumen mode for just enough light.

Cool fidgety light, but why so dim?
I've been buying, selling, collecting, modding and using flashlights for YEARS. I know what 700 lumens looks like. I didn't have an Acebeam in my collection, have an affinity for titanium and unique designs, and like neutral/warm emitter options. When this hit what seemed like an awesome price, I happily added it to my cart and eagerly awaited its arrival. The Good:It's very well made and attractive. The machining, fit and finish are all perfect. The attached clip works great. It comes with a 14500 li-ion cell, but also works with regular AA batteries. The Bad:Where are my 700 lumens? After trying three different fully-charged 14500s (including a brand new Vapcell), I was left unimpressed. The optics provide a cookie-cutter perfect circle of light - dim light. I would estimate the output to be closer to about 300 lumens. Just to be sure that it wasn't mine, I directed my best friend to this light, who also purchased one. When comparing them side by side, the beam profile is identical. I really REALLY wanted to love this light...It's just... not very bright... I'm sorry, I have to be honest. I'm giving it 3 stars because almost everything else about the light is perfect. I just can't get over poor amount of light that this thing emanates. I am now skeptical of any Acebeam light, which is shame, because they have some nice looking models that I'd like to check out, but unfortunately, probably never will.

Cool light!
The light ticks the boxes of what I need out of my next flashlight. Good size, good brightness, great battery compatability (AA or lithium equivalent), easy rechargeable battery, double sided clip for hats, and great price. Also adding to the cool factor is the fidget "bolt action" feature which is how you access the battery and allows the light to stand on a flat surface by itself.
