Good for use in the emergency kit
I used to keep some regular wax candles around, in case of power outage. These Sterno 100-hour Emergency Candles are much better - each one is stable enough that I don't have to find a candlestick holder, I don't have to worry about getting melted wax all over the place, and the flame is on top rather than in a deep well like with other long-duration wax candles, so it's always easy to light. And, if you actually get 100 hours of burn time, that would be amazing! The only thing that would make these nicer is if Sterno (or someone) would bring out a windproof lantern sized for these...

A Must-Have for Power Outages—Long-Lasting and Reliable!
These are a lifesaver during power outages! I used them when the power went out, and they are so much better than traditional candles or flashlights. They last incredibly long, and the unscented feature is a plus. I didn’t have to worry about constantly replacing candles or batteries. Highly recommend for emergency preparedness!

Low light, but it really lasts
I got these mostly to see if they would actually output light for 100 hours. It turns out that at least the one I tried does. I put it in the fireplace and just let it go for days until it finally ran out 4 days after I lit it. That’s impressive if you have a power outage and need backup lighting that doesn’t run on batteries. Also you wouldn’t leave the thing lit 24/7 so you should get much more use out of it than 3-4 days.The negative is that the light level is really low. Think of it as a soft nightlight. It’s not going to be good reading light, or fill a room of any size with a full light. It would just be for basic navigation in the dark. For me, I would consider it to be a night light. It would stay lit overnight in a very stable location with a bit of ventilation.
