Greatest invention of all time
I hurt my shoulder, and for four months I had about 50% movement on my right arm, nothing up high or backward. It's winter, and the cold weather dries my skin and makes it itchy (eww... TMI. Sorry). I'm also 6'4", so if I get an itch in the middle of my back, it's a loooong way to reach it with only one good arm. Doesn't help that I love pizza, fast food, and beer, if you know what I'm sayin'. So, I found these back scratchers. They are perfect! One day, before I bought one, I thought I was going to lose my mind when temps dropped below freezing. I was like a big dumb fat bear trying to scratch on a tree, grinding my spine into doorjams and against walls, or all wriggling around in my work chair like a spastic fat snake with scabies. And you can't just ask people at work to scratch your back. First off, dudes, will be like," WTF?" And in a #metoo society, if I asked a chick I could end up in jail or something. I'd have somebody to scratch my back then, I bet.SO... I ordered one of these. It's epic. Slides out super long, can reach anywhere on the corpulent acreage of my dorsal region with ease. It has two types of pokies on it which works great if you are trying to get at an itch through a sweatshirt or something. And it folds down small enough to put anywhere: pockets, purses (I got one for my wife ... and got one for EVERYONE as stocking stuffers this year), and glove boxes. I got one for work and two for around the house.Great idea, very high quality, and very reasonable price. 5 stars.

OMG!!! RELIEF!!
Crazy to write a review on a back scratcher but this time i just had to write about it!!! I have bought plenty of different types of back scratchers. Majority of time the actual end would not scratch that well and the retractable wand would break! The metals of the scratchers were too flimsy and it just didnt help. So I came across this here on Amazon and was very reluctant to buy it. BUT... the “cactus” part is what attracted me and i tried very hard to see how sturdy the middle of the medal would be in the pictures. I didnt want another broken wand. THIS DID NOT FAIL!! The metal in the middle is very thick and strong which means that the cactus part scratches on target!!! Its very long and does a wonderful job scratching my back! For those who itch like crazy this is Almost Orgasmic if you know what i mean!!! 😉 wish Amazon had more of these on Prime. I only trust Prime products. This one was listed as Prime and was the last one for Prime shipping! Waiting to see if it ever lists again as prime as i want a second one- one for upstairs and one for downstairs. 🤪 Give it a try!! You wont regret it!!

specifically a cancer that makes you itch like poison ivy is boiling beneath the skin
So I have cancer, specifically a cancer that makes you itch like poison ivy is boiling beneath the skin. I thought the spikes on this might be too rough but I was willing to give it a try, but it is perfect. This product really does work awesome and doesn't cut me like my own nails. It is nice to have two sides, I mostly use the shorter spikes but the longer spikes are great as well. It is smaller than I though, but so far that has been great because I took it on travel with me. When you pull it out all the way it is strong. Really like this product and recommend it.

On A Stick - Works decently enough
I don't know why the reviews on the page are for the strapped version. In any case, mine is the blue on-a-stick version, which is what I ordered. The scratching spikes are not harsh and do the job well, without needing a ton of pressure or accuracy. I don't really need the massaging nubs, but they seem to work well enough. Bear in mind that the head of the onna-stick version is about 2" wide (5cm).My only complaint is that the head wants to swivel on the shaft a bit, since it's not keyed. However, the tolerances are tight enough that it's not a major issue. It may become one later, as the shaft wears.About all I can say about a back scratcher. Hope someone finds it useful.

Its good, very good, when its done all right
One of the best back scratches available on the market today, maybe even the best. I have many scratchers being a tool nerd including the standard $1 hand extendable ones, the bamboo/wood ones, the Arkansas wood claw and the corn cob one. This scratcher is one of the largest and heavier built scratches on the market. Its longer than I think most running up to 28". The head is larger and also using both sides pricing more square footage total but offering two different feel. The steel tube is remarkably thicker than most. It also has a foam handle for added comfort for extended use. It's is made with quality parts and very substantial for a scratcher. It also comes in 2 formats, the stock and by straps. These guys have the back covered.I was actually sent one initially with one of the segmented times not being crimped shut but the company had no hesitation in making it up by sending a replacement, as it's quality is assured and backed by the company. When it's put together as designed, it's one bad back back scratcher. Bad as in good. It's the equivalent of getting super sized but in the case of scratcher, that's good.Recommended as a top scratcher.

Not For Me
I've tried just about every back scratcher in existence. I've never found any telescoping back scratcher to work for very long. They are only good for as long as they work. In full disclosure I should state that I mainly use a back scratcher to get to my right shoulder blade. Therefore, I slide it up under my bra ... so it gets more resistance than if you use it on top of your clothing. Another issue I have with a telescoping one is there is no curve. Until lately, I found the curved fixed wooden back scratchers to be the best ... and, they are good. Yet, I tried a fairly new one recently that wins hands down. It is the "Back Scratcher by ITCHSTIX TM." It is light, has a nice curve that aids in reaching to areas where I need it, and you have the bamboo curved portion as well as a nice scratcher pad. It is my new favorite ... Definitely worth a look see!

HAPPY HUSBAND!!💙HAPPY CATS!!😻
Got this for my husband.I accidentally broke his 40yr old back scratcher. He uses this every day now!He loves the dual sides!Extends far enough to get that itch!I love that it shrinks for storage. His old one didn't extend, this one is really ideal.I definitely recommend!!👌Update: I have to get another one, turns out that this is also a fantastic cat massager too! While I was sitting on my couch, I discovered that I can use this to brush them, even when they are not close...the wand expands! I was totally surprised, but I'm here to say that ALL of my cats LOVE this thing!!!😻

Really only need the one side
The less aggressive side is kind of useless, especially if scratching your back over even a thin shirt. I guess one could simply scratch underneath your clothing but it's not ideal if multiple people in the household use it. Otherwise, the aggressive teeth does exactly as intended. Great for people with not very flexible arms/shoulders like me!

it doesn't scratch
you can't get enough force for a good scratch and the nubs or blunt. Id return it but it's too much hassle
