Vibram FiveFingers Men's Vibram Furoshiki Original Low-Top Sneakers

I have a particular problem with shoes. My feet are narrow both width and depth-wise, that is to say the height from the floor. I can't wear slip-ons because they're simply too roomy for the upper to grip. Even ordinary shoes I have to pull the laces aggressively tight. Until now. I cannot believe for the first time in my life I have an absolutely perfect fit, and from shoes which aren't even designed for my situation. Heel doesn't slip, nothing feels too tight or loose. Amazing. If it weren't for the super-grippy sole I think I'd forget I was wearing them entirely... with socks. With thick socks even in the October weather so far I've found them absolutely fine as indoor shoes and out, they self-evidently provide no warmth whatsoever and undoubtedly make better summer footwear than winter, but you may find it more bearable than you think. I also find the inner sole muggy without socks so that's my preferred way regardless, until warmer weather appears at least. I will say that people apparently find the sole narrow, which even as somebody with narrow feet I do notice a little but to me personally it only particularly stood out when I drove in them as I would have preferred broader pedal contact. If you have wide feet I can see it being a personal matter. The sole squeak on hard floors when you do a hard stop and makes a sucker sort of noise when damp but neither matter unless you're frequently doing either. I got the Olive colour as they were at the time much cheaper than the others, ce la vie but it's hard not to feel a bit like I have unappealing amphibian feet. I suspect pretty much every other design would be an improvement and that they can genuinely look really good if you choose better than I did. Even my frogwear wrap style is cool. My only real complaint is the price, I don't doubt that the soles are top notch given that Vibram are generally a provider of high quality soles to other brands and this is 100% their party, but there must be a hefty markup for, materially, what you get. Is it overpriced for the *experience* you get? Perhaps not so much, this is the only footwear I can recall where I'd go straight out and buy them again if disaster struck. I'll see how well they last.

I bought these as I wanted something comfortable and lightweight to wear around the house and on short trips out. They have exceeded my expectations. They are really comfortable and allow your feet to move naturally. They do take a bit of getting used to as there is no real cushioning on the sole so it can feel weird.

First off I bought the original in 2016. After 4 years of wearing them, mostly inside, they gave up and I had to chuck them. Over 4 years service isn't bad though considering I wore them pretty much every day. This version seems hugely improved over the original. First off the Velcro doesn't make contact with the floor. The toe has more protection. The sizing is way better (Before it was XS, S, M, L and XL) and they just seem a bit more robust. I picked my size of Vibram Five Fingers, 9.5-10 (44) and the fit is perfect. Will I wear them outside and go on long walks, probably not, I have my other Vibrams for that. I wear them as sort of slippers but then can also go outside to the car/garage etc, which is a bonus. Highly recommended.

They are really great, but the small edges (where straps clip on) start to brush against your foot and get really annoying after a while, but this problem occurs only when wearing them barefoot without socks. Other then that wouldn't want my shoes other way, plain, simple, comfy and feel like I'm barefoot while walking on street!

Bought as a Christmas present for my husband, who is absolutely delighted with them. He loves the barefoot type of shoe and these fit the bill perfectly

Love these rook them to egypt and was perfect. I was bit sceptical about buying them due to the price but glad I did.

Absolutely love these bad boys. Sure got a lot of strange looks and comments but i love these shoes. It definitely helps me with my Achilles issues. The build is good and easy. I love barefoot walking so this is just amazing. Feel like a Ninja. The price is on a higher side which will put off a lot of folks.

These shoes are very comfortable, they are very soft and have great grip. They feel like you're walking barefoot with a thin layer of rubber under your foot

Sono particolari. Stanno in poco spazio e le uso alla sera dopo una giornata faticosa nei miei viaggi per il mondo. Unico neo sono troppo care.

Only dislike is that i can feel my toenail getting caught on the inside of the shoes spandex on my right foot smaller toe....perhaps i need to trim my toenails...also i do have a bit of a club foot...other than that the fit is pretty nice, perfect actually while not leaving too much room for unwanted wiggling Pricey, but i will keep updated on durability of the furoshikis once i wear them for a while. Overall, 5 stars so far since i can use them to do some low intensity rock wall training and they're very nice to walk in although they do get sweaty and need to air out after a good walk or jog....like any shoes really Update:. They are durable enough to hold up for walking, perhaps the occasional short distance low intensity jog as well.

I'm a big fan of the Vibram Furoshiki Boots, those were an amazing product. These are not those shoes :( The sizing feels looser than a 42 and there isn't enough velcro on the straps to pull them tight in a way that it would fit.

Ho fatto la pazzia di provare questa tipologia di scarpe (che non costano poco!) solo grazie al fatto che in caso non mi piacessero potevo restituirle ad amazon. Cercavo una scarpa leggera, comoda e da mettere facilmente in valigia e questa è perfetta. A parte i primi passi di adattamento a sensazioni vecchie e dimenticate (e sì io sono di quella generazione che da piccoli giravano scalzi!) me ne sono subito innamorato e nella mia vacanza alle Azzorre è stata la scarpa più utilizzata, sostituendo quasi completamente i sandali e le scarpe tecniche da trekking (che sono rimaste in valigia). Adesso le uso quasi sempre, perché la sensazione di "sentire" dove cammini e il maggiore grip dato dalla flessibilità della suola sono impagabili. Pensavo che l'assenza del tacco a lungo andare fosse fastidioso ma le porto tranquillamente tutto il giorno senza particolari problemi. Si lavano tranquillamente in lavatrice e ci si può fare il bagno in mare. Unici difetti: la suola interna è in neoprene e quindi dopo averle lavate rimane il caratteristico odore di questo materiale (come le mute da sub) e all'inizio quando si passa su sassolini appuntiti sono un po fastidiosi, ma poi ci si abitua e non ci si fa più caso.

Een beetje vreemd, maar wel lekker. Het is een schoen die opvalt en opmerkingen uitlokt, dus daar moet je tegen kunnen. Ik ben langzaam aan de transitie aan het maken naar barefoot en Vibram is een van mijn favoriete merken hier in. De Furoshiki zitten heel erg fijn. Ik moest in het begin even wennen met aantrekken. Maar als je hier handigheid in hebt, dan zijn ze super. De grip is goed en ze zitten goed om je voet. Je kan er op elk oppervlak mee lopen, maar bijvoorbeeld stijl bergafwaarts ga je schuiven aangezien de dunne stof geen support geeft. De verstevigde voorkant voorkomt (een beetje) dat je je teen beschadigd. Bij warm weer krijg je snel last van zweetvoeten doordat de schoenen syntetisch zijn. Gelukkig kunnen ze in de wasmachine en zijn ze zo weer fris. Het sluitingssysteem is uniek en makkelijk. Je trekt snel je schoenen aan.
