This Whisper Sleep bed foundation is an innovative design made from recyclable USA-made composite connectors and renewable North American lumber. It provides an excellent base for any mattress type: hybrid, innerspring, memory foam, latex or air. Assembly is simple with the included easy-to-follow instructions. The Euro-style frame design adds stability and resists sag. Top slats positioned from head-to-foot instead of side-to-side minimize mattress slippage. The composite connectors reduce squeaks and annoying noise often experienced with all-metal or all-wood foundations. The foundation is shipped by UPS in a single box, which is especially helpful in apartments or in residences with tight stairways or narrow hallways where moving a set-up foundation is difficult or unmanageable. It is ideal for student housing where beds are moved and repositioned often, as it can easily be disassembled for the next move. Stratiform's composite connector parts provide a new solution to metal or semi-metal foundations that can become bowed over time, are unwieldy to move due to their weight and size, and can create squeaky noise.

Horrendous quality
100% garbage. I bought last minute because the original box spring didn't survive the move and we needed something fast but this was a huge mistake. The idea is sound, wood with plastic ends. We had no issue with the plastic parts but the wood is the lowest quality lumber I've ever seen in my entire life. Some of the boards were warped, cracked, fraying, one was missing part of itself. The wood density was lower than any pine I've used previously. What that translated to in the final product was screws pulled out of wood, beams cracked, the entire base began to warp. We got it thrown out before it totally collapsed but it's a miserable piece of furniture.I should have known better in assembly too. the plastic parts have holes for 2 screws in a couple spots but you only get 1 screw. They say 1 screw in the manual is sufficient. There's blanks for more crossbeams but the manual says you don't need them. It doesn't make any sense. We're not huge people. Heck the weight of a king foam mattress alone was giving it issues. Maybe in a smaller size where the quality of the lumber matters less (since the runs are shorter), this would work better but on our king? Useless. Also, on that point, what are we paying over 100 for? Some discount scrap bin lumber, some crap screws, and a couple plastic parts? What a ripoff. 0 Value for the money. Now I have a pile of crap lumber to figure out something to do with.

it's a nightmare.....literally
It has just randomly collapsed on me anywhere between 5-10 times since I bought it in last month. As I'm sleeping, in the middle of the night, as I'm getting in or out of bed, any random time. I'm literally scared of my bed at this point. I've tried everything and the pieces just constantly buckle out of place. It was not easy to assemble at all and there are no instructions. Seems like it'd need more pieces in order for it to actually be sturdy and hold together but then again it also seems to need something to hold all the pieces together rather than just laying them next to each other or on top of each other. I highly do NOT recommend spending all this money on this as I do not believe it is worth it especially if this bed is for an elderly person, an injured person, someone on bed rest, someone spending a lot of time in bed, etc. as it is possible that the bed will just randomly come apart and buckle under you in the middle of the night causing abrupt great fear and sudden panic!

Our mattress was still in great shape so this saved us from having to purchase ...
This foundation in the full/double size suited our needs to replace a broken boxspring from kids jumping on the bed. Our mattress was still in great shape so this saved us from having to purchase a new mattress and box spring set or changing to a platform type bed. It took about 30 minutes to assemble with an electric screw driver. We went with this due to the wood and plastic material (since others reviews noted other all steel foundations being squeaky. All steel seemed like it would be very heavy as well.) This foundation is pretty quiet. If you really shake the bed, a small wood squeak is audible, but just sitting and rolling over, its quiet. We're pleased.

Okay, but not perfect.
Super simple to assemble, took us about 20 minutes. HOWEVER, the cover was sewn too wide and about 1" short. Turning it made no difference, still too wide. I had to sew a box pleat to take in the sides, a full 15". That took about 45-60 minutes. The Made In China products are never quite right.

Best foundation we’ve ever owned | 5 stars
The Whisper Sleep is the best bed foundation we’ve owned. If you’ve never used a hybrid foundation like this before, you’re going to love how fast it is to set up and how solid the foundation is in use. 5 stars, would order again.

Easy to assemble
What a strong, supportive, easy to assemble foundation! As a 48 year old female, I was thrilled to be able to assemble it solo using only a screw driver (I recommend a cordless one). An expensive alternative to overpriced foundations from local stores.

Would not recommend
A train wreck to put together and my cover does not fit. Hangs way down and looks terrible. It makes the bed look ugly because of the cover. Would not recommend

The cover for the foundation IS NOT THE SAME SIZE as the Foundation
The actual structure was easy to assembly and appears to be sturdy once it was put on the bed frame. It's a bit unstable when assembling and needs an additional cross section to add strength so the foundation doesn't shift.BIGGEST PROBLEM is the cover included, it's not the right size!! The foundation is 60 inches X 79 inches and the cover is about 56 inches X 68 inches.
