So it turns out that kitchen cabinet hinges are a "wear" item, they wear out and need to be replaced. Ours were 20 years old, some of the cabinet doors wouldnt stay open, some wouldnt stay closed... So I bought some of these to replace the old ones.These are nice hinges, definitely a classy upgrade.The soft-close works perfectly.Simple to install.Simple to adjust.We like them enough that we are upgrading all the hinges in the kitchen, not just the ones that were worn out.

Bought nearly 50 of these to replace failing, obsolete hinges from another manufacturer. I like this design much better than the old ones, and the added bonus of soft-close + self-close is a welcome upgrade.I originally purchased 2 of these hinges from a local big box store to see if they would work for my kitchen cabinets. After that success I decided to replace all of the hinges, but the box store couldn't supply the quantity I needed (at a reasonable price), even ordering online. Amazon had the exact same hinges at an excellent price.Installation was simple, only requiring that I drill new screw holes to mount the hinge to the door. All of the other holes matched perfectly in my case.For smaller doors, I disabled soft-close (another nice feature) on one of the hinges so that it would close quicker.4-stars for now because I can't speak to longevity, but I'm very pleased so far.

Blum hinges are my go-to for cabinet repair and new construction. They are reliable with a low failure rate that is important when the biggest expense of cabinet hinge installation is the cost of labor...the last thing I want to deal with is a service call for hinges that have failed after a year or a few months..."Buy Blum, you won't be glum"!

With just a few minor adjustments with the screwdriver so that the cabinets closed without hitting each other, Iinstalled all new hinges on my cabinets. I consider myself a novice at homerepair!! but I do know how to use basic tools . I researched how to measure hinges on You Tube in order to select the right sized hinge, and in the process, watched an additional video on what exactly was involved in replacing them. Changing out 50 cabinet doors’ screws with literally just a Phillips screwdriver each cabinet took about five minutes (remove old hinge and pop the new one in. These hinges work—(see video)—unlike the Lowes hinges I originally tried.Additional pics show the easy alignment and side view of the “gap” that has always existed on my cabinets.

I ordered 10 sets (2 per set) to replace 24yr old 'hard close' Blum hinges (kitchen cabinets) and they were perfect replacements,and much better (and quieter) than the old ones. I'm ordering 10 more sets.

The media could not be loaded. As many buyers of this product on Amazon, I wanted to use these hinges to retrofit older Blums cabinet hinges that just slam your door. I hate them. For corner doors these new bluemotion is the only option. I was hoping these would be just swap replacement for my older ones - I was wrong. There are two issues I dealt with 1) the distance from cabinet surface to bc door these hinges have is SLIGhTLY bigger than of older Blums. In the absence of this problem, I could only replace ONE hinge on the door (2 or 3 hinges on each in my case), but in such case the door was uneven to the surface. Barely noticeable for an average person - but I am perfectionist and I can see this gap. It is about 1/8 of an inch. Solution - replace ALL hinges on each door (which is 2-3 times more expensive) 2) second problem is that the depth of these hinges is different - my older Blums are 10mm deep, my cabinets doors were drilled for 11mm, now these bluemotion hinges are 12mm deep. So, as you can see on one of my photos - it creates unpleasant “arch” between screws. My solution was to carefully drill 1-1/2” hole slightly deeper (by 2mm). This solution is not for everyone - you need proper tools and you are risking destroying your door by drilling it through. My door is only 15mm thick, so 12mm hole leaves only 3mm of material on the face. I was able to accomplish it, but was nervous. I had to paint bottom of the hole with marker and then remove thin layer one after another constantly measuring depth with caliper. So, my verdict - the hinges are perfect in themselves (hence my 5 star rating), but if you intent to retrofit - be ready to compromise on aesthetics, pay more or do extra woodworking. Aside from this - using bluemotion hinges is night and day compared to constantly slamming doors. Go for it, it is totally worth it.

Received item sooner than expected which was a good thing. All the hinges were in good working order except one but the seller promptly took care of the situation by refunding the equivalent amount. Unfortunate that I had to pay extra for screws. They should be included.

Used them on a couple of kitchens we manufactured. They are easy to install, and so far they work perfectly.The only problem was that it took more than a month to deliver. Corona times.
