Awesome Product. This Review May Help You
First off, this thing is really cool. I mean really cool. Unfortunately, this thing is also extremely frustrating. The instructions are not only inadequate and incomplete, they are also missing several, wait a minute most, of the important information. What’s even worse is I read through all of these reviews and they also do not provide the information needed. Assembly of the unit is not that difficult. A couple things to know is that the two arms only go in one way to the main body. Do not try to force them, they will click in when you have them correctly oriented. Be sure to insert the two tiny screws to firmly secure the arms. Second piece of information that might be valuable is that the fan immediately turns on when the plug is inserted into it. Make sure you have it mounted someway before you plug it in. At first you are going to think this is the coolest thing since sliced bread. It will work immediately with the 10 preloaded videos that are the microSD disc. The remote works great and just push various buttons to see what they do. The only one that’s really not intuitive is the angle button, which is the circles with an arrow going around to the left and to the right, this will adjust the orientation of the image. After a day or so, you will want more. Nowhere in the instructions and nowhere in any of these reviews will you find the app name. It is 5Ddisplay. Download the app, connect your phone wireless to the fan, broadcasted wireless signal, and play with the app for a little bit. You will quickly find out it doesn’t do very much and it also will crash every time you try to upload a video. The only thing it’s able to upload is a photo. So now you need to do is remove the micro SD card from the body of the fan. An adapter is provided with the kit, but mine didn’t work so I had to use one that I had on hand. The file, which is a .rar file, is not something easily extracted but I use an app called Bree to extract .rar files. It then extracted it to a zip file and then you have to extract that even further to a couple of text files and an executable file. The text files actually have the name of the app, amazing. Thanks for burying it so deep. The executable file is what you’re actually going to install on your desktop computer so that you can actually bring in new video files and convert them to .bin format that the fan uses. But first you need to find the 1500 holographic videos that the manufacturer provides with the product. To get these, you have to actually send them a request through Amazon. A day later they will respond with the Google Drive link that gives you access to these 1500 holographic video files. These are really awesome videos. I would post the link here, but I’m assuming the manufacturer doesn’t want that out in the public domain. Almost done. Do not try to upload anything through the app. I have looked at the code and it is definitely a piece of garbage. All you need to do is install the executable file on your computer and then run it. You’ll see a big circle come up with a button that says select file. You then select the holographic video files that you have downloaded to your computer from the Google Drive link provided to you by the manufacturer.. Make sure when you save the converted file that you save it to the microSD card which should be plugged into your desktop or laptop. You will find the program on your computer will also crash regularly, just keep restarting it. After you are done, pull the microSD card out and insert it back into the fan, start the fan up and you’ll be ready to go. I noticed some reviews say only .mov files work. That’s wrong. .mp4, .avi, and more all convert just fine with the software. Finally, there are several holographic videos that are provided that include sound. These are the coolest of the cool. It was a total fluke for me to figure this out, but the Bluetooth for the fan does not connect to iPhones or any other phone. You have to have a Bluetooth speaker sitting nearby and it will automatically pair with that speaker. You also have to make sure that other nearby Bluetooth devices are disabled. By the way, videos do not do this justice. You do not see the fan blades and the image is VERY clear in person. I hope this helps someone it was quite the labor of love to figure all this out.

Amazing!
This thing is awesome. There is so much technology wrapped up into this item and yet everything runs so smoothly. We have family and friends gathering for birthdays and holidays and this hologram well be great to present seasonal and special occasions good wishes and graphics. In addition to that it just fun to watch and create your own presentations. The instruction certainly could be better but it’s not that complicated to figure out. Be sure to connect to the units created Wi-Fi address before starting the App and the fan has to be turned on before it will generate the Wi-Fi channel. However, if you should have an issue don’t give up on the unit because customer service is excellent and they respond very quickly. I was able to do an easy video upload using the App and the upload was reasonably fast. I know when I made use of it this coming holiday that it will generate a lot of interest. The low pricing makes it a good gift option too.

STOP. Look for another option.
Typical to other feedback, from other frustrated customers. Great idea, but awful instructions. Pointless to own if, after following directions, the item doesn't operate as it should. Too many loops and jerry-rigging needed. Will look for other devices. >1 star.

Great device with strong 3D effect - perfect for parties and absolutely recommended! I use the 42 cm hologram fan mainly for garden and party evenings and I am completely satisfied. I can't understand some of the negative reviews. First to the frequently mentioned point of memory card: Many think it is missing - in fact it is already in the device and is ready for immediate use. Turn on, connect, get started. Regarding the volume: It doesn't matter to me, because the device runs at parties in the garden. In the outdoor area the slight noise level is completely lost. For events, decoration, celebrations or presentations absolutely okay. I also have a link with approx. Get 1,500 sample files (not counted, but there are a lot of them). The selection is huge - from logos to animations to complete effects. No wish remains unfulfilled. The Wi-Fi could be set up without any problems; everything worked for me right away. With the app you can even upload your own pictures or content, which is great for personalized effects. Overall, the device works reliably, the 3D effect is impressive and the price-performance ratio is very good. I'm so satisfied that I'm thinking about getting the big fan with four arms. Clear purchase recommendation!

A pretty freaking cool device! TIPS
Is this device perfect...well no, but the fact that you can make holograms for less than 40 bucks is crazy. The image also looks WAY better in person then in video. The instructions suck so this is what i did to animate images and text in the PC version of the software *TUT* -Remove the MicroSD from the unit use their adapter and put it into your PC. THE SOFTWARE IS ON IT! - Install the software, our unit the the "F1". You can use images but any video file has to be".mov". -I wanted an image animated so basically I went to a free gif animating website "3d gif maker" and uploaded my photos and text there, then converted it to .mov with davinci resolve. There is probably other websites for this. Worked like a charm! -Use the software to import the .mov file and export. Then put that file on the SD card. *THE BAD* - The power cable is SUPER short. -Also my unit is a bit off balance making a not 100% stable image, it does look fine from a few feet away though and I'm honestly just stoked this is even possible! Also the SD card they provided is HELLA slow but still works fine! -No manual on off switch without the remote, you plug it in and it goes. -Is loud but not SUPER loud

Great product with a slight learning curve
This item is a great price and works perfectly. It really lit up our decorations for Halloween and we look forward to using it often. Now, getting it to work and uploading video leaves a little to be desired from the instructions. The phone app you’ll want to download is “5D Displayer”. Download the app and find the units WiFi and connect it. The phone app doesn’t have many features that I could get working. For me, it let me choose which file that is on the SD card to display, it also let me make a custom image and text object. I could not find any way to download any videos from the app and upload them from my phone. That is where the PC app comes into play. The file is located on the SD card. Use the adapter and install the software. When you scan the code in the instructions you get an option to get extra video files. Click that and it will start a chat on WhatsApp. Just ask for the files. You’ll get a Google Drive link with tons of them. You download the video file as a mp4. Using the PC app it will convert to a bin file. Drag that onto the SD card. And that’s it. It appears that with the pc app you can convert just about any mp4 file. TLDR: use a PC and included app to move videos to the SD card. Choose or display or delete them from the SD card with the phone application

Awesome and works well, but terrible instructions and one fishy app. Read for some advice.
There's a large review at the top here that pointed me in the right direction, but I think I can simplify and add to it - but read that longer one with more instructions too, while keeping this in mind first. Don't even bother with the phone apps. The link you need is hidden on the SD card, and honestly I haven't tried that one. I scanned the QR code in the manual, and the app had a different name, and only let me either enable location for it or exit, so I uninstalled that one. You will need a Windows PC. If not, maybe try the app linked to in the file, though it hasn't been well received by others - but a Windows PC makes this really simple. You can get WinRAR or many other free utilities to extract a rar file, just like a zip file. It's something I work with normally, but is as simple as a zip, just not built into Windows by default. The rar extracts to a zip file, when has an exe file that you run to install the app. As noted in the other review, you need to email the address in the manual to get the dropbox link to all the videos they advertise I downloaded them all which was around 50GB I believe. Also as mentioned, you can't just use these files. Install the Windows app, run it, then open one of these files. But wait - it kept crashing for me on every file. It was because I downloaded the full folders off dropbox, and the Japanese characters in the folder names made it crash. I renamed the folder, or copied the files to other folders, and they work fine! The Windows app is great. You load up the file, you can zoom and position the image or video exactly where you want it. You can also make it upside down or flipped left/right. Upside down could be handy as if power came from the top, it would be easier to hang it this way, so that's no problem! Not sure when I'd use left/right, but I guess for something like using it as a sign with an arrow pointing the way to something, it might be handy. The Windows app will export a bin file, just put it on the SD card. Mine came with an 8GB SD card - hadn't seen one that small in a while, but it is plenty as the bin files that go on it are smaller than the original videos typically, being lower resolution and frame rate. You can have fun with it using about any video file though - I've only tried short ones, I might try to figure out the length limit eventually, and will update if I do. I have it playing the opening of The Dick Van Dyke Show just for laughs and that works well!

Well worth the money!
This product is definitely worth the money. I've seen many companies selling many different hologram fans but this is my first one. I can't compare to others but this one is very satisfying. Picture is better than i thought it would be and the fact that you can add your own pictures and videos makes it that much better. Things to know: 1) read the directions and scan the qr code for the app. 2) compatible with android but not so much samsung in general. 3) works on computer, i tested and used it this way. It's very easy this way. 4) contact support with the emails given because they answer quickly and are very helpful if needed. 5) be careful as this thing spins fast. Dont stick your hands or face anywhere near it while its running. Its smart to buy the case and enclose the fan for safety. 6) fan is loud but depending on the application/reason why you are using you can use background music or something to drown that out. I enjoy this so far and stand by my 5 stars. You may get frustrated at first trying to learn how to use the software but be patient and just ask if needed. Great product!
