Had a bit of a problem with the ink cartridge,but used an other I had on hand. Writes with an even and control flow of ink,it is fine yet not too fine. The pens themselves are classic and elegant in appearance with a good weight and balance

Got two sets, all 4 pens write great, love them with Noodler Brevity Blue or Black ink. EF nib is wonderful on Jinhao 911. Works well for left handed/lefties. Pilot /Japanese EF tip is too fine compared to Jinhao and western pen brands. Recommend jinhao EF/F/M, even #3 writes well (Jinhao 65 model)

This pen is quite a bargain. I purchased two pens for less than $10. The pens are hooded nibs which I like as they tend dry out slower than open nibs. The converter is OK and functioned as it should with no filling or leaking problems. The pens open easily and close with a nice click. I was surprised at how wet the nib was. I inked it with Nitrogen ink which has tons of sheen and shading. Even though the pens have extra fine nibs, they put down enough ink for the properties of the Nitrogen ink to show and show well. Likes: Great price Seals tightly Feels solid Very wet nib Not scratchy as some EFs can be Didn't need tuning Caps well Dislikes: Extra fine nib - my preference The pen body is thinner that I like. It wasn't uncomfortable to write with, but I like a thicker pen Final thoughts; If you want a pen you aren't scared of carrying, this is a great choice. It is inexpensive enough, you can fill both pens with different colored inks and carry them both. I would not fill an extra fine with shimmering ink, but it performed well on shading/sheening ink so you don't to have boring writing.
