Livery quality not up to the standard the price promises
The sculpt is very good, as you'd expect from Hot Wheels, but the livery is rather plain and the details are applied using the new process Mattel have been using for premium cars for the past couple of years, what I've heard referred to as the 'inkjet' style. It renders the fine details poorly compared to traditional 'tampo' style decals, especially some colours, for example the green of the stripes and also the circles of the Castrol logo on the rear quarter panels is speckled and doesn't look great. Mine arrived with the printing chipped on the bonnet. It's also poor value at 6 times the price of a main line car - inkjet printing, rubber tyres and a metal base certainly don't make it 6 times better than a £1.49 main line. I'm happy to have it but not super impressed.
