Medina Drench Dewy Rose Moisture Mist

I am obsessed with this mist. First it’s super diffusing spray effortlessly sprays a fine mists that is instantly absorbed by the skin and last all day. No stickiness, no waiting to get dressed. But my favourite part is its absolutely delicious rose smoked vanilla fragrance that coats the skin with an irresistible scent. Not to mention the superbly gorgeous pink packaging. In love!

I can’t wear perfume because I am ‘scent’ sensitive – I am that person that has to wash something off if the scent is too strong; that person who has to get out of the elevator if someone gets on drenched in perfume. I thought I would give this moisturizing mist a try to having a floral scent. Well, it has a lovely light floral scent that causes me to go wash it off. It is more floral than vanilla but still light. In fact, it fades fairly quickly which I like. I am surprised that it does deliver a mist since I can’t get an olive oil mister to actually mist olive oil! I don’t know if it hydrates up to 72 hours because I shower at least every other day if not daily, but it does hydrate between showers. If this was in a 100ml bottle I would of brought it with my on my last international trip because it would be amazing to use on the long-haul flight! It is pricey, but when it goes on sale, it is a deal!

This reminds me of a body spray but for women. The fragrance is pretty strong with a good scent with feminine elements. In terms of moisturization, I have strong doubts that it lasts 72 hours. When properly primed, the mist function works well and it is a fine mist and the pump function is consistent in producing the same amount and mist pattern. The hydration is more of a lighter type, not a deep hydration. In addition, the more hydration you want, the more mist you will need. The more mist you use, the wetter you get and you have to wait for it to evaporate.

I don't quite know what to make of this. I don't smell roses, nor vanilla. Honestly, I'm not as wild about the scent as I thought I would be. The instructions say to spray all over your body several times a day. Well... I guess that works if you're spending a lot of time in a bathing suit, as the pictures indicate! I use it on my arms and legs and don't see any special effects beyond what my usual body lotion provides. The spray is a light mist, which is nice. I don't think I'd buy it because of the price and I don't see much advantage over the lotions I use, which have a better fragrance.

This is not the cloying rose scent you’re probably picturing. This scent is much more complex, and I smell more coconut and vanilla with a little bit of rose. I love that the spray bottle dispenses a very fine, targeted mist. The scent does linger on my skin for at least a few hours, but it is not so strong that other people ask me what I am wearing. I find it is a more grown up version of my daughter’s Brazilian type body spray. I do not find it so moisturizing that I could skip my other moisturizer, but it is a nice, layered addition for my skin.

The scent was too strong and the ingredients clogged my pores.
