Love these, they are slim so they don't take up too much room on the table, and make it look so elegant and clean! The only downside (the reason I didn't give it a 5-star review) is that the glass gets really hot - definitely hot enough to burn your hand if you don't allow it to cool before moving. It doesn't take long to cool after blowing out the candle. That is the price to pay for having the streamlined look that I love about these!

I have 13 steps to my second floor, and my staircase is visible thru our glass front door from the street. I have these 6 on every other step with flameless ivory tapers. Just the perfect accent light. I think the glass cylinder reflects the light more. These cylinders are bottomless, in other words cannot be used as a vase. The glass had no imperfections in them that I could see. They were very securely packed in molded squishy plastic . I read some other shoppers were not so lucky based on their reviews. Also included are candlestick holders. I don't use them with the cylinders and these ivory candles because the candlestick is too tall in the holders. They extend past the top of the rim of the cylinder. No problem, my current candles have a little magnet attached to the bottom of each so they stick to the metal plates I have under each cylinder. I think this item would make a great gift, very versatile.

With candles in these holders, you can make any design or scene romantic and aesthetically pleasing. I used these for a centerpiece and they were so classy and nice.

The Hurricane Glass candles were packaged securely, double boxed and styrofoam lined to secure the glass. While the dual function of the glass cylinder and separate candle holder allow for versatile use and set up, for my purposes I do wish the glass cylinder could lock into place when using both pieces as one. This would make it more secure when using on a table or in an area that has high traffic. The base can fit your standard taper candle. The glass overall was good quality, thick but giving it a sleek, high quality appeal. I would definitely buy them again.
