Serra Enzyme 80,000IU Serrapeptase (90 Quad-Strength Tablets)

I am writing this in hopes to save someone from the troubles I had with this supplement. This is an enzyme found in the digestive tract of silk worms thought to help digest proteins as well as those from Candida yeast. Although this product may help many, it is not without side effects as it was for myself.After seeing this product recommended on the yeast infection advisor, I decided to use this product beginning with one pill morning and night along with the recommended probiotics. Shortly after, I began noticing rashes on my face. I wrote to the author of the site telling of my experiences. I mentioned everything I had been taking including the recommended probiotics and all the enzymes, etc. I was told that my reaction was due to herx-heimer due to yeast die off and to continue with the recommended protocol. Also I was advised to use specific probiotics which were recommended for rash from skin yeast, something I had never before had.My symptoms continued to worsen. I developed severe aches and pains, stiffness, headaches, skin crawling and nasal congestion. I also had heart palpitations and gut issues. The itchy rash continued to worsen. After doing more research, I thought my reaction was from taking too many probiotics, causing severe die off and toxin overload.Eventually I cut all supplements way back and took another product similar to Serra enzyme to no avail. ( even though Serrapeptase was not known to have any side effects and advertised to reduce herxing.) I tried many different probiotics assuming a leaky gut may have allowed systemic Candida, throughout my body. Many months had passed until finally, out of desperation, I stopped everything. All my symptoms began to subside. About a week later I woke one morning with a headache lasting all day. Since serrapeptase was known to alleviate pain and inflammation, I thought taking this would help since Advil didn't work. A few hours later I noticed my skin beginning to itch. All night I tossed and turned with crawling skin, heart palpitations and a heaviness in my chest. Next morning my face was bright red with a fresh new rash completely covering it. Although it took me over 6 months to finally realize this was a severe allergic reaction, I am thankful to finally know it's not from Candida die off.If you experience any symptoms such as these, do not assume it's just a herx-heimer reaction. Once realizing my mistake, I found warnings about this supplement on the internet which listed similar reactions, respiratory problems and even liver damage. Do your research and take symptoms seriously. You can save yourself many troubles.

I originally purchased this product in hopes that it would reduce the size of my fibroids. I have been taking these for eight months now. Although I do not know if they have reduced in size at this time, something else amazingly happened by taking these. I have suffered from severe headaches during my cycle (hormone related) lasting three days or so. They were so severe that I either would take off from work or leave early each month. The pain sickens me causing me to throw up. This has been happening since I was in my late 20's and I am now in my early 40s. No pain reliever worked. I could always feel the pounding. Since taking these, I no longer get these headaches! At first, I thought it was a fluke. Then month after month no headaches. Around the fifth month I reordered too close to running out and my package was lost. The headache was back. I could hardly hold up my head. Amazon shipped out another product overnight and within one day my headache was gone! I believe this works miracles for many people for different issues.

I thought this product suck'd.. It was Not worth $28, I thought since it cost so much more it meant high quality Serrapeptase, it isn't. The Doctors Best Best Serrapeptase is MUCH BETTER. I was only taking 3 doctors best best Serrapeptase--but this product I'm taking 6 every morning yet I don't feel a thing. I'm still having joint pains. No I will not be ordering this product anymore. I also purchased this product to take with yi mu cao & Xi xian cao in hopes of trying to conceive naturally, I used to feel little twinges on my sides when I was taking the doctors best best serrapatase--but with this product--serraEnzyme-- I don't feel a thing. Although the directions says I'm suppose to take 3 pills 3 times a day. I'm not doing that. The only thing I liked about this product was the pill size. It was overpriced & low quality unless you take 9 pills a day. as of right now I'm up to 6 I've never had to take 6 doctors best best Serrapeptase. So I will be going back to my original product.

I have been using this product for about four months now. I am really impressed. I stopped taking the product for a short time because of the expense and notice a huge difference right away and went back to it. I take three tablets in the morning and three before bedtime. I saw results within the first few weeks. I hate consuming Advil like candy and this is the perfect alternative. I have arthritis and lean towards all natural medications and I am certainly devoted to this product. It was recommended by a tech at a holistic grocery store where I shop and with Amazon Prime I get it at a much more reasonable price. I also combine it with buffered C which helps with joint flexibility. Oh, and I have tried the capsule and the tablets....much prefer the tablets.....I can pop all three tablets at once and the capsules are too big to do that for me.

I have only been taking this for a month. I am taking it to hopefully reduce internal scar tissue around my c-section. I haven't seen a significant change but have noticed slightly less pulling around the area. I take 3 in the morning on an empty stomach. I will continue to take for 3-6 months before I give a full review. My only con -you have to take this supplement on an empty stomach. Which, means I am only able to take first thing in the morning. I may see better results if I was taking it several times a day.

I was recommended to this product by a friend for my 13 year old Alaskan Malamute; what a wonderful change we have seen in him. The general aches and pains of age are truly eased. He lead a very active life in carting and showing so his joints have had their use, he is so much happier and he will even request his pills.
