Sailor Moon SuperS Part 1 (Season 4) (DVD)

It's Sailor Moon. If you like/love the series, you'll enjoy Super S a lot. Though the seriousness from S is toned down considerably here. Personally I enjoy the more silly nature of this season. Plus, it's mostly a nice contrast between the (mostly) lighter content here, and the mostly serious tones of S and the final season, Sailor Stars.Picture and sound is spot on, so you're getting the best combination for your money.

A beautiful Blu-Ray collection! I love it and recommend it to other Sailor Moon fans.

I must say, after the disastrous quality that was season 3, I was afraid this season would be the same; I am so glad I was wrong! Finally it actually looks like a re master, that trumps all other American publications (I'm referring to the pioneer VHS and DVD releases, and whatever bootleg versions anyone may have come across). The images are sharp and clear, no fuzzy or blurriness like in season 3; by far the best image quality of these releases (not including the R movie).But wait, there's more! The acting in this season is phenomenal! The original cast has fallen into their roles nicely and it's a lot more natural. The new cast members have stepped up to the plate and they are not disappointing! The Amazon Trio will leave you dying from laughter with every episode, I kid you not! This used to be my least favorite season, but with these three guys, they just might change my mind.As for the bonus content, this set is really decent. Obviously there is the special, which is like three mini episodes. Then there are the usual cast interviews, which were really entertaining. There's even an interview that includes the Japanese actor for Momoru. The only disappointing thing was the "clean opening and ending;" the visual quality was poor (which is weird considering the openings looked great with every episode), and the opening they used was the one for the second half, which features the Amazon Quartette (and they don't even make an appearance in this half of the season) instead of the Trio. But that's a minor complaint that doesn't really matter.Overall, five stars! Can't wait for the second half to come out and I really can't wait until Stars is released!

I have loved Super S since the 90s when it was first available, I had the subbed tapes and watched them so much they started having problems playing. I got the older DVD set from Pioneer and was glad to have it but could only tolerate the sub Japanese version because the dub was AWFUL. Every dub I have seen in the past was BLEH. But then Viz came out with THIS awesome BluRay version and the dub is AMAZING! Now for the first time in history I want to watch Super S in English! The most important aspect was also getting good voices for the Amazon Trio, my favorite characters. If that impressed me then I was sold. Well I saw Youtube clips of the release and LOVED the voices of the Trio so I was impressed. Tiger took some getting used to, but after a while the deeper, sultry voice won me over. He sounds so calm and sure of himself and it adds to his vain personality quite well! I also loved the voices of Chibiusa and Helios, my two other faves for this season. A great job by Viz and the added art book and special features makes this more than worth it!!

I've been a Moonie since the original airing in the 90's. I have nothing but love and adoration for the series, the manga, the movies, the figures and toys, and the now current Crystal version.This has been a part of one of my biggest and most cherished fandoms of my life, and I thank all of my fellow fans out there for loving this as much as I do.Seasons 4 and 5 may not be as familiar for some of you as viewers as the first 3, but be sure to check them out as well. You'll no doubt love them and enjoy the trip down memory lane with your favorite Sailor Senshi.

I loved how Viz Media brought Sailor Moon back and released the seasons without all the unnecessary editing, especially this season! They didn't try to hide the fact that Fisheye was a man and not a woman like they did in the first English dub years ago. Not to mention, the quality is great and the voices they cast to play the Amazon Trio and Zirconia were good.

It was a Christmas for my daughter. She loves sailor moon. She didn't say if there was a problem with it.

I have both Parts 1 and 2, both parts have a great dub, video quality is up to par, the specials included were new to me and entertaining, box set is nice. I especially enjoyed the localization this season, it brought a new perspective to the episodes that I didn't realize while watching the original Japanese subs. Great addition to my other sets.

I bought all season of Sailor Moon...remastered by VIZ ...i m now waiting for season 5...

The quality of the discs was excellent, and the series was the same as my old videos and DVD...but nicer to watch.
