I ordered the Licorice.com Licorice Gift Box as a treat and it exceeded expectations. If you’re a true licorice fan (black or red), this is the box worth getting. Best licorice

Australian Black = a bit on the sticky side, with mild but decent flavor Black Spirali = this is black licorice wheels, not string. It can be pulled apart, but wheels are a bit harder and thinner than the softer string shown in the photo. The flavor is very mild, more so than even the Australian Black, but good. Licorice Root Pillows = These are the GOAT of the package. Most of the pillows have 3 flat, ripply, flavorful, soft, licorice squares that I like to pull apart and savor. While they don't actually melt in my mouth, they have a melt in the mouth, rich, but not potent, flavor. I wish Amazon offered this type by itself or a 3 pack of just this.

I've never been so disappointed in both flavors and consistency. I don't know how this made Oprah's list. I ordered the strawberry. It taste slightly sweet but not like strawberry. Not an unpleasant taste but not what was expected. The pictures showed what expected to be soft Australian twist and soft ropes. Instead they were hard, very hard. The ropes are wound tight not loose shoe strings. They are only stored in the cardboard cylinders, not in bags in the cylinders. I don't know if the hardness it by design or due to exposure to air. I can get softer better tasting licorice from local candy store and quite frankly the hardware store for a lot less money. At first I thought it was because the package sat in cold until I got home, but after bring inside fir almost 2 days, very little improvement.

All I can say is licorice was delicious treat. Probably the best.

It's good licorice, but not ground breaking. The fruit flavors are great, but the black licorice, is just not strong enough, and just comes off like molasses. If you like fruit flavored licorice, you'll like this, but if you like black licorice, just go with the king: Scottie dogs. I figured a licorice prioritizing brand would have the highest quality black licorice and gave it a shot, but it tastes like the stuff I can buy at dollar general. Won't buy again, but will share with family.
