Patterson High Velocity Fan with Yoke Mount, 1 PH 115/220v H26A

This fan rocks the house for power and airflow!! Great airstream even though I wonder a little about the claims of air movement made on the airflow graph. I had seen them in use at a ballpark, and they don't disappoint whatsoever! What does disappoint and keeps this from getting 5 stars is the shoddy paint job and the horrible packaging. The paint is smudged in several places and nicked down to the metal in a few places also. For a $600 fan, I would expect the paint to be perfect or nearly so! It almost looks like it was handled before it was completely dry. The fan is industrial steel, so the horrible flimsy box it was packed in - with no packing materials whatsoever other than an extra layer of cardboard on the bottom - didn't create any issues. The lip on the fan is rolled so it can withstand quite a bit....just seems obscene to throw such a nice fan into a flimsy box and call it good. I bought the floor stand and its very well made, but less than perfect paint job also. Its a great fan for my barn and hopefully will last for years

Great Product... lousy Packaging .

I purchased the 18” model. This is a very well made, powerful fan. Not super loud considering it’s capabilities. The blade is very well balanced so the fan operates with next to no vibration, and the mounting yoke is very sturdy. There are a variety of mounts available, I contacted Patterson and ordered the short floor mount base since Amazon did not stock it. Patterson is very knowledgeable and helpful. The fan also uses very little power considering the air it moves. I also own a Patterson 18” cage pedestal fan as well and this fan is pretty much as good as that, although the fit and finish and motor on the pedestal fan is better. Either way, the fans are made in USA and some of the best available. My only complaints are that one of the motor mounting bolts was loose on arrival and I had to take the front guard and blade off to tighten it. The blade is designed to use a piece of keystock to lock it on the shaft with a set screw, but whoever assembled this fan skipped the piece of keystock and drove the set screw into the groove of the motor shaft. The blade still came off easily, and was very secure and safe when installed, but still incorrectly assembled and could have lead to the blade being stuck on the shaft. Also, for the price of these fans, they should use a name-brand motor (Marathon, US, Genteq ETC...) the older models, and my Patterson 18” pedestal fan always used proven, industry standard Marathon motors. The fans now come with a Chinese-made motor with Patterson’s name on the sticker. Still seems like a decent motor, and it has ball bearings and is quiet, but time will tell how long it will hold up. All in- I’m not disappointed. Still miles better than most other fans claiming to be industrial. These fans actually are industrial grade and should last for years of constant use. Just a few things that could be improved on.
